Safety Measures and Maintenace of Power Pack

The document outlines safety and maintenance procedures for diesel generator sets. It lists important points to check the fire extinguishers and train personnel on their use. It also describes different types of scheduled maintenance checks - A, B, C and D checks - that should be performed daily, weekly, monthly or yearly. The A check involves checking oil levels, cleanliness, batteries, filters and coolant. The B, C and D checks increasingly involve more extensive maintenance like changing oils, filters, separators and other part services. General checkpoints include checking elastomeric pads, wire harnesses, running the generators idle before dispatch, battery life and wagon adapter gaps.
