5. Structure of Machine
1 Framework:
The steel plate-welded frame structure is very rigid . Two cylinders are
fived on the left and right vertical posts . There is an auxiliary cutter slide on the
working table , facilitating the fine tuning of the lower cutter seat . There is also
plate feeding balls on the table which are light and easty to operate .
The vertical bearing face of the blade in the upper cutter seat is proccssed
into a curved shape to ensure the consistence of the gap between the upper and
lower blades in the process of shearing .
3 Plate Pressing device : it consists of 10 ~ 15 material-pressing oil
cylinders (see Fig. 4) installed on the front supporting board of the framework .
When the oil is filled into the material-pressing oil cylinders , the pressing
heads will overcome the force of the pulling spring (18) and move downward to
press the plate to be sheared . After the shearing , they will reset by means of
the pulling springs .
The pressing force will increase with the increase of the thickness of the
sheared plate .
4 Front and back bafflers :
Front plate baffler : it is set on the working table and its value is indicated
by scale . It reaches the required value by adjusting the movable dog . It will be
more convenient to use the front baffler in shearing thin steel plates .
Back plate baffler (see Fig.6) :It is installed on and moves up and down
with the upper cutter slide . Its adjusting is realized by 0.55 KW motor’s
driving , gear reducing and leading screw transmission . Pressing the adjusting
button “十” (or“一” )can realize the backward (foreward) adjustment of the
plate baffler . When the required value cann’tbe reached by mechanical
adjustment . Manualadjustment by turning manual adjusting wheel (41) can be
used . Therefore , the adjustment of back baffler is bots convenient and
reliable .
The adjustment range of the back baffler is 20-600mm . When the length
of the sheared plate is larger than the maximal baffling distance of the back
baffler , move the baffler (29) to the last position and raise it by bearing (36)
and the inclined surface of supporter (33) . Then the plate with any length can
be sheared .

Release SA4 , the upper cutter seat will stop move downward and return
immediately to the upper dead point . Step-on SA4 again for another shearing .
It should be noted that the foot switch SA4 cann’t be released if the plate is not
fully sheared for fear of the wrong shearing of the plate . When SA3 is at the
position of continuous stroke , Make a step-on on the foot switch SA4 ( the
step-on time cann’t be too long . Otherwise it will become one shearing), the
machine will make continuous shearing . Make another step-on SA4 , the
continuous shearing will stop .
The machine has also shearing length adjusting device , shearing times
number counting device , Turn potentiometer RP ( ) to adjust the
shearing length .
Turn the rotary switch SA5( ) to position“1”to count the
shearing times number . At position “0”, no counting is made . The number of
shearing times can be set by the counter relay . Press the reset push-button of
the relay , push open the digital window , turn the digital wheels of vovrious
places to required value and then close the digital window , completing the
setting . When the number shearing times reaches the set value , the machine
will stop . Only by pressing the reset push-button , can the machine shears
according the original set value . Counted shearing can be made when the
machine works in “one stroke” or “continuous stroke” mode . However , it
should be noted that when the machine is in “continuous stroke” mode , press
the reset button will make the machine to shear according to the original set
value (without stepping-on the foot swtich) . Therefore , if no need for shearing ,
SA4 should be turn to the position of “one stroke” before resetting .
Turn the rotary switch SA2( ) to switch on the fluoresent light for
moving the plate for shearing .
Don’t forget to lock SA1 key switch SA1 key switch and the interlocking
mechanism of electrical cabinet , before leaving the machine .
The machine should be reliably earthed .

8. Lubrication of Machine
1. The main lubrication points of the machine are lubricated by oil gun
injection , which are shown as follows :

Note:
1. Cacium base grease and machine oil are mixed in a ratio of 50% to 50%
for use .
2. Graphidte lithium base grease should be mixed with 30% machine oil
for use .
3.The oil in the oil container is changed every half a year in principle .

For gap adjustment(see Fig.2) , loose the lock screw (3) , turn the handle to
the required graduation value and tight the screw (3) .
Ball valve (see Fig.1) is for measuring the uniformness of the edge gap
between the upper and lower cutter blades . The method is in one-time stroke
mode , when the upper cutter slide moves to the lower dead point , rapidly turn
the ball valve to close the oil circuit so as to let the upper cutter slide stop at the
lower dead point . Then open and close the ball valve little by little to make the
upper cutter slide complete the whole stroke by rising in steps , when the
uniformness of the cutter edge gap can be measured by steps .
2). Preparation for operation:
(1) Clean out the oil contamination on the surface of parts . Make sure the
gradation line on the ball valve point to the open position .
(2) Fill grease into lubrication points .
(3) Fill into the oil tank 40# low condensation hydraulic oil .
(4) Earth the machine switch on the machine to check the action
coordination of various electrial appliances .
3. Operation
(1) Start the machine for several no-load running cycles . When it is sure
there are no abnormalities , try the shearing of plates with different thickness
(from thin to thick)
(2) Open the switch of pressure gange during the shearing process and
observe the pressure value of oil circuit . If there are any abnormalities , adjust
the overflow value to make it meet the specified requirement .
(3) If any abnormal noise or the overheat of oil tank is found during the
operation , immediately stop and inspect the machine . The maxium
temperature of the oil tank should be less than 60℃.
