3. In the absence of any response from you after two weeks, the University will assume that you are

INFORMATION TO PARENTS AND STUDENTS
The University Management wishes to bring the following information to the attention of
our students, their parents and sponsors:
1. The University shall commence the 2022/2023 academic session from Sunday, 18th
September, 2022, when fresh students are expected to come to the campus.
Equally, the returning students are to come back to the campus on Sunday, 9th
October, 2022.
The University shall conduct drug tests on every student to ascertain campus residence
eligibility.
Very importantly, all new and returning students must undergo laboratory
investigations at the University Health Centre for medical fitness assurances.
2. It is compulsory for all students to register at the University Health Centre.
All students who have any form of medical challenge(s) or ailment(s) should notify the
Health Centre with medical history in respect of such.
Parents are enjoined to give full disclosure of the medical status of their
children so that the Health Centre can better serve them.
3. Returning Students are strongly advised to arrive the campus, not later than 6.00p.m.
daily. They must come back to the campus very promptly, as resumption defaulters
will be sanctioned appropriately. No returning student will be allowed to defy
resumption order.
4. In line with the financial regulations of the University, all students MUST present
evidence on the payment of at least first installment of fees before being allowed into
the campus. Please check the University website for details of fees.

5. Lectures will start as scheduled on the academic calendar; and, 75% lecture
attendance will be enforced as eligibility to sit for examinations.

6. The dress code policy of the University shall be enforced and sanctions imposed for
infractions. The University has zero tolerance for beards, ear rings for boys, long
hairstyles for girls, among others.
7. The University forbids examination malpractices and possession and use of drugs;
sanctions shall be imposed as stipulated in the Student’s Handbook of Information and
Regulations. All students are enjoined to familiarize themselves with the sections,
provisions and clauses in the Handbook.
8. It is the responsibility of the students to ensure the safety of their property as the
University will not be liable for any loss. Interested students can register their phones
and laptops with the ICT Department for tracking on campus.
9. Attendance at all Chaplaincy activities is very compulsory. Absenteeism attracts stiff
penalty.
It is our hope that students will come prepared to work hard in the new Session. The
University will maintain and improve its facilities to provide a conducive learning
environment for the students.
