Notes for the oral (maximum of 10 bullet points):

1.Somber and desolate tone -> atmosphere of emptiness emphasizing the importance of
relationship and communication for survival

2.A lot of dialogues through the book -> importance of communication -> support and
understanding, helping them find meaning and hope in a bleak and challenging world.

3.Minimalistic writing style and simplistic dialogue reflect the challenges of communication,
emphasizing the significance of meaningful conversations.

4.Symbolism -> father talks about "carrying the fire," on line 21 -> encourages his son to continue
living by their principles even when his father dies.

5.Repetition of phrases like "You'll be lucky again" and "Keep going" shows the father is trying to
make his son motivated and not to give up.

6. Emotional impact of the photographs depicts soldiers' profound bond and sense of responsibility
towards their wounded comrades.

7.The depiction of soldiers in motion -> harsh reality of the battlefield -> the crucial role of
comrades in saving the lives of soldiers when they need help.
