As the Hujaaj (those who had the fortune of performing Hajj) begin to
return.....................
1. Greet them with the following Dua :

َ ﻒ ﻧَﻔ َﻘ َﺘ
َ ﻚ َوَأﺧَْﻠ
َ ﻏ َﻔ َﺮ َذﻧْ َﺒ
َ ﻚ َو
َﺠﺣﱠ
َ ﷲ
ُ ﻞا
َ َﻗ ِﺒ
May Allah accept your Hajj, forgive your sins and replace all that you have spent
2. Ask them to make dua for you and to ask Allah for forgiveness on your behalf.
Ibn Umar (R.A.) reports that Rasulullah said, "When you meet a haji (on his way home) then
greet him, shake hands with him and ask him to beg forgiveness of Allah on your behalf before he enters his
home, for his prayer for forgiveness is accepted since he is forgiven by Allah for his sins."( Virtues of Hajj by
Shaikhul Hadeeth Maulana Zakariyya R.A)
In another hadith it is mentioned that Rasulullah once prayed, "Oh Allah, forgive the sins of the
hajis and forgive the sins of him for whom the haji prays." (al Matjarur Raaabih)
3. Partake of Zamzam which they have brought back with them
ZAM ZAM
Allah Ta’ala has given the water of Zam Zam the greatest virtue compared to any other water.
Rasulullah (Sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) is reported to have said: “If you drink it (Zam Zam) for cure (from any
ailment), Allah Ta’ala will grant you cure. If you drink it to be saved (from any calamity or enemy), He will
grant you refuge from the same. If you drink it to quench your thirst, Allah will grant it to you.”
“ O Allah, I partake of this Zam Zam with the intention that my thirst be quenched on the day of Qiyamah”
Duaa of Abdullah bin Mubarak R.A upon drinking Zamzam
Hazrat Abu Zar (R.A.) once spent fourty days in which he had no food at all. He survived by drinking Zam
Zam. It provided complete nourishment for him.
When drinking Zam Zam, Ibn Abbas (RA) used to recite the following dua:
ْﺷﻔَﺎ ًء ّﻣِـﻦ
ِ ﺳ َﻌًﺎ ﱠو
ِ ﻋﻠْ َﻤًﺎ ﻧَﺎ ِﻓ َﻌًﺎ ﱠو ِرزْ َﻗًﺎ وَا

“O Allah, I seek from you beneficial knowledge; abundant sustenance and cure from all illness.”
May Allah Ta’ala bless all the Hujjaj with a Haj Mabroor. Aameen
