Raju

Dr. G.S.N. Raju received his B.E., M.E. with distinction and first rank from
Andhra University and Ph.D. from IIT, Kharagpur. He is Professor of
Electronics and Communication Engineering in Andhra University, College
of Engineering, Visakhapatnam, India. He is in teaching and research for the
last 36 years in Andhra University.
He guided 46 Ph.D.s in the fields of Antennas, Electromagnetics,
EMI/EMC and Microwave, Radar Communications, Electronic circuits.
Guided more than 230 M.E theses.
Published about 390 technical papers in National/International
Journals/Conference, proceedings including IEEE (USA), IEE (UK),
IETE (India), AMSE (France) Journals and transactions.
He was a visiting Professor in the University of Paderborn and also in the
University Karlsruhe, Germany in 1994.
He is the recipient of
“The State Best Teacher Award” from the Government of Andhra
Pradesh in 1999 and
“The Best Research Award” in 1994.
‘National IETE Award’ for his best Research guidance in India from
Hon’ble Union Minister for heavy industries Santosh Mohan Dev, Govt.
of India, New Delhi in 2005.
“Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Award” for the Best Academician of
the year 2007.
“The National EMC Engineer of the Year Award” by Society of
EMC Engineers (India) in 2008.
“Eminent Electronic and Communication Engineer” from
Institution of Engineers (India) in 2012.
“National Award for Teaching Excellence” by Indus Foundation
during Indo-American Education Summit 2013 in Hyderabad.
“Rashtriya Vikas Shiromani Award” in the field of education by Delhi
Telugu Academy in 2013.
Received “Mother Teresa International Award” from Sri Justice
Shyamal Sen, Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court and Former
Governor of West Bengal on January 2014.
Addressed 12,000 leaders in Indian Student Parliament in Pune on the
invitation from Sri T.N. Seshan, former Chief Election Commissioner
in January 2014.
Honored in Jodhpur by her Excellency, Margeret Alva, Governor of
Rajastan as “ICON in Education” in February 2014.
Conferred with “Colonel Commandant” Rank by Director General of
NCC, Ministry of Defense, Govt. of India.

He represented Andhra University in weight lifting and body building.
He was a University champion in 10Km, 5Km running and he was a
trained boxer.
