Lesson 4:
EXPERIENCE: Go around your community and observe how your neighbors treat vulnerable citizens
(e.g., PWDs, senior citizens, members of indigenous groups).
Write your observations below. Is their treatment generally positive and inclusive or are they mostly ignored?
-they mostly got ignored when crossing the street usually like not all people will help them to cross the
street. Also in PWDs some people will not give space for them because some will just ignored them.

think does your community define inclusion? Substantiate your answer.
How about you? How do you define inclusion using Ainscow, Booth, and Dyson's framework? Does your
definition match the definition of your community?

EXPERIENCE: Interview three random people and ask them what they know about Philippine policies
related to inclusion or inclusive education.
Are they aware of such policies? If not, how do you think will we achieve inclusive communities if people are

Affairs (NCDA) to help build policies to support inclusion. With you in the session are representatives
from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), the Department of Education (DepEd), the
Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Public Employment Service Office
(PESO), and different disability groups (Autism Society of the Philippines, ADHD Society of the
Philippines, Resources for the Blind, etc.).
