Ans. Oliver told the ladies that the thieves wanted him to do all kinds of wrong
things. They wanted him to rob their house, and had left him wounded there.

2. How did the servants help in protecting Oliver when the police came for inquiry?
Ans. When the police arrived, the servants did not mention that Oliver was with the
thieves. Instead, they said that Oliver wounded himself earlier while playing.

1. Do you agree that Oliver found ‘perfect happiness’ with Mrs. Marlie and Rose?
Give reasons.

Ans. Yes, I feel Oliver found ‘perfect happiness’ with Mrs. Marlie and Rose. They
took wonderful care of him. They fed Oliver well and sent him to an old gentleman
who taught him to read and write. Oliver would sleep peacefully in a clean bed in
his own room.

Charles Dickens wrote the story
and in the beginning we were wondering why?
To
Sum T he story starts with a boy named Oliver,
Up… who was forever sad.

T hrough all his troubles at the orphanage ,


Oliver he decided to be good.
Finds He then chanced upon Mrs Marlie,
A who showered him with love.
Home I realized the importance of having a home,
that I go to everyday.

And decided to be grateful for my blessings,
