How to Build Self Confidence

Assalamualaikum wr.wb.
The honorable judges and all of the audience , good morning everyone i hope all
of you in exellent conditions today. My name is naurah faiza syahla adramli and
i’m the representative of junior high school 3 pringsewu. it's very hard enough for
me to take a part in this speech contest and now i’m standing in front of you all to
deliver my speech in title How To Build Self Confidence.
Ladies and gentlemen, we often hear that teenagers or so on feel less confident,
but do you know, what is self confidence? what causes less confidence? And how
to build self confidence? Okay, I will explain it.
Confidence is the ability to believe in the ability we have or the ability to develop
positive judgements both for ourselves and the environment around us. Not only
that, Confidence also means feeling free to do various things according to your
wishes and responsibility to your actions. In addition, self confidence can also be
seen with politeness in interactions with others, having an achievement drive, and
being able to recognize own strenghts and weaknesses. Self-confidence is the best
predictor of one's success. but not everyone feels confident , For some of us,
raising our hand to ask a question, answer a question, or voice our opinion in class
is already a great accomplishment. One of the reasons is, lack of confidence!
There are some factors that cause less confident :
1. Genes and temperament
2. Life experience
3. Misperceptions about self-confidence
4. The world around us
5. Anxiety and depression
In the course of his life, humans will always and continue to experience a learning
process. Likewise with attitude and someone's feelings. Confidence in someone
else, is not a hereditary trait that is directly owned without any learning process.
The causes of lack of self-confidence are varied and different for everyone. Past
experiences cannot be changed. However, know that there are always steps you
can take to change your thoughts and expectations now, so that your
selfconfidence can increase. This method is not easy or instant and may not be
immediately applied as a whole. However, although slowly, the following
methods are worth trying to increase self-confidence:
1. Build a positive mindset
from now try to build a positive mindset and growth mindset within yourself
2. Recognize the strengths and weaknesses
If you make a mistake , don't take it as stupidity.
3. Focus on small steps or changes
You need to appreciate every process or small change that has been achieved
and done.
4. Do what you like
If possible, try to learn a new skill or take up a new hobby that you previously
wanted to try.
5. Stop comparing yourself to others
Remember that everyone has their own path and life is not a race.
It can be concluded that self-confidence is not something that exists in us without
any effort in it and it is also not something that is brought from birth, but self-
confidence must be cultivated, improved and maintained in order to achieve a
good and healthy life.
That's what I can say, more or less I apologize if there are any wrong words
