Maximized Cleaning,
Minimized Fiber Loss Benefits
The XCEL 150 cleaner separates valuable fiber from
debris. Paper slurry consisting of water, fiber, and debris
enters the top of the cleaner. The slurry accelerates and
spirals downward along the inner wall, causing the entire Efficiently removes
contents of the cleaner to spin. Centrifugal force causes granular debris
water and heavy debris such as grit, glass, sand, pins, Rejects more fine debris in
staples, gravel, dirt, metal, abrasives, and other small individual isolation with
heavy objects to move to the outer wall and spiral to the minimal fiber loss
bottom of the unit.

Process options for the Kadant XCEL 150 cleaner:
Stock Savrs
The ceramic Stock Savr option increases
system yield. A final reject dilution wash
ensures premium pulp stock.
Isolation Valves
Stainless steel valves are used to isolate Feed (Inlet)
individual cleaners. These robust valves
allow for each cleaner to be easily by-
passed so it can be removed or replaced Accepts (Outlet)
while the system operates.
Air and Light Reject (ALR)
This continuous light removal creates a
dual function that removes both light
and heavy contaminants to fine tune
pulp cleanliness.
Intermittent Reject Dump (IRD)
This option is used in the final stage to
maximize yield by controlling the reject
rate. Contaminants are purged periodically Top Gate Valve
