TOP OF BOARD’S TIP END shall be mounted within 26” (2/3 Meter) of water level on
Type VI pools, within 30” (3/4 Meter) for Type VII pools, within 39” (1 Meter) for Type VIII
pools and within 118” (3 Meters) for Type IX pools.

NOTE: L4 is a minimum dimension to allow sufficient length opposite the board. This may of course be
lengthened to form the shallow portion of the pool. L2, L3, L4 combined represent the minimum distance from
the tip of board to pool wall opposite diving equipment.
