Dear Sir/Madam,
am pleased to inform you that Lucknow Public College, Sahara States, Jankipuram, Lucknow is
hosting CISCE Zonal Level (Lucknow Zone) Athletic competition (Under 14, 17, 19 Boys & Giris)
for Zone A & B Schools affiliated to CISCE, New Delhi from 18 July 2023 to 20 July 2023 from
08:00 a.m. onwards,
You are requested to fill the enclosed entry form and return to the undersigned latest by 10
July 2023 positively. The rules approved by the association are attached herewith. The Team
Managers should be present in meeting on 15 July 2023. For any query, please feel free to

Note: The above competition is open for the CISCE (UP / UK) members school, Schools which
have not taken the membership can pay Rs. 5000/- (Annual Subscription) by Demand Draft/
Cheque in favour of "Secretary, Association of Schools for the ISC, UP & UK” payable at
Saharanpur, and dispatch at the following address-

> Categories (Sub-Junior Boys/Girls, Junior Boys/ Girls & Senior boys/ Girls)
> Eligibility
a) Sub-lunior (Under 14 girls and boys born on and after 01.01.2010 and not studying
below 6” standard).
») Junior (Under 17 girls and boys born on and after 01.01.2007 and not studying below 6”
standard).
¢) Senior (Under 19 girls and boys born on and after 01.01.2005 and not studying below 6"
standard).
d) In one event only 2 participants from a school can participate in each category.
e) Three set of registration form duly completed and signed by the Principal of the
concerned school.
Photo copy of Aadhar card (photo copy of passport in case of overseas students only)
g) Photo copy of the marks sheet/ report card of the previous class attended duly, attested
by the Principal
hh) Photo copy of birth certificate by the competent authority of the state/ central
government attested by a Gazetted Officer. The birth certificate must be issued within 5
years from the Date of Birth of the child.
i) Any participant who does not have all the documents as mentioned above will not be
allowed to participate in the CISCE Zonal / Regional / National games and sports.
> One participant can participate in only 3 events, excluding the relay.
} The Participant must wear the school tracksuit for the opening and closing ceremony.
> Proper schoo! kit and proper running shoes, is a must for the participants. Running bare
foot is not allowed.
> The participant must bring the School flag along, which is to be used at the opening
ceremony, z
IMPORTANT GUIDELINE:
1. Participants must be CISCE students (currently studying).
2. Use of any personal equipments for track and field event will not be allowed,
3. Chest number must be worn by the athlete in the front and at the back of the T-Shirt/
Vests and the same must be visible.
4, The Jury of Appeal will deal with all matters of disputes and settle them amicably in a
fair and just manner. Its decision shall be final and binding.
5, All matters of dispute must be given in writing endorsed by the manager and the coach
with the fee of Rs 1000/- within 10 minutes of the announcement of the result of the event
in question. If the appeal is upheld, the deposit will be refunded, if not, the amount will be
forfeited.
Participants are not permitted to appeal to the Jury directly.
6. Team managers and coaches will not be allowed to enter the competition area and
iriterfere with the conducting of the event.
7. No parents will be allowed to enter the competition ground to when the event is on.
Parents found interfering with the conduction of the event will lead to the disqualification
of their participating ward.
8, The finalists will be determined on the basis of their timing in the heats.
9. if there are less than 3 participants, that particular event will be cancelled.
10. The host will have the rightto change the order of events.
11. Manager will be responsible for the discipline of the teams atall times during the
meet. A team can be disqualified on grounds of indiscipline.
12. Smoking, drinking of alcohol, chewing of betel/ chewing gum is strictly prohibited during the
‘Athletic Meet by ALL. Of anyone is found doing so, strict actions will be taken.
13. Any damage to school property or venue will have to be borne by the erring team.General Rules for the Sports Events
1. Sports events will be conducted as per the rules and regulations of the various sports bodies in
the country. Yet in case of necessity, rules may be adapted as per the local needs and situations with
the approval of CISCE.
2. Team manager incharge should be present in the meeting of managers.
3. Each Team should have its own proper colour (dress code) as specified by CISCE, and the kit/
‘equipment as per the requirement of the game in question. Teams / participants will not be allowed
to participate in case the same design/ dress code is not followed.
4, Every member of the team will be compulsorily verified and the eligibility approved by the
officials prior to commencement of the event.
5, The regional coordinator and the host shell form a team of well qualified officials for the conduct
of the events in question. Any incompetent official, if found, will be replaced forthwith.
6. They shall be a three member jury of appeal consistent of a member of CISCE national executive
and two persons of knowledge and expertise from the place of the event.
7. The Jury of appeal will deal with all matters of disputes and settle them amicably in all fairness
and Justice within a specified period of time. It's decision shall be final and binding.
8. The manager of the coach must form a part of the contingent at the opening and closing
ceremonies of the events with the respective School flags.
9. During the conduct of the event/ match, the Manager should ensure the required discipline of
his/her team as directed by the officials.
10. Overall Championship will be decided, considering the total number of points is called by the
participants. The same will apply to decide the team championships in each category.
11, In case of a 'tie' in championships, the same will be broken by considering the number of goals
won by the tide regions; if it remains inconclusive, then the silvers won will be considered and so on.
12. Participants should be prepared for any eventuality during the event such as injury,
postponement, change in schedule, collsion in schedule, bad weather ete. for which appropriate
measures must be taken.
13. No participant is to be Absent from the venue even if his/her event is not scheduled. Changes
will be notified only through the P/A system no protest will be accepted for missing an event due to
unforeseen situations.
ATHLETICS (For all six categories of boys and girls)
a) Only two participants in each event will be permitted to participate from a region in each
category.
) One participant can participate in 3 events only, excluding the relay.
) In one event only two students from a school can participate in each category.
d) Events for the Zonal Athletic Meet 2023.
e) Track events for junior and senior boys: 100 m, 200 m, 400 m, 800 m, 1500 m, 3000 m, 110m
hurdles, 400 m hurdles, 5 km walk and 4x100 m relay, 4x400 m relay.
4) Field events for junior and senior boys: Long jump, High jump, Triple jump, Shotput, Discus
Throw, Hammer throw and Javelin throw.
g) Track events for Sub Junior boys and girls: 100 m, 200 m, 400 m, 600 m, 80 m hurdle, 4x100 m
relay.
h) Field events for Sub junior boys and girls: Long jump, High jump, Shotput and Discus throw.
i) All participants will be provided with two sets of chest number to be worn visibly on his/ her
chest and back. The size of the number shall not exceed. 150 mm x 25 mm.
j) The participants should report to the reporting booth at the first call. After the third call, no
participant will be allowed to participate in that event. In case a participant is unable to report
to the reporting both for a valid reason, he / she should obtain pridr permission from the
officials through managers / coachk) The referee and the officials in charge of conducting the events should brief the participants
before the commencement of each event regarding the track or lane rules, changing the track,
pushing or tripping the competitors, which will eventually lead to disqualification from a
particular event or events.
I) Some of the events require heats to select the participants for finals. The timing, and not the
position at the heat, will decide the qualifiers for finals.
m)The track umpires are assistants to the referee, without the power of decision.
1n) During the relays, the baton must be carried in hand throughout the race. In case the baton is
dropped, it should be picked up. The race will be invalid for a participant who finishes the race
without the baton.
©) The Baton shall be made of wood or light metal, which shall not be more than 300mm and not
less than 280 mm long; the thickness shall be 120 mm and with a weight less than 50 gram. The
Baton shall be coloured, so that it's visibility is noticeable easily during the race. The referee
can disapprove any Baton if its not made according to the specifications.
p) Every regional team is required to use its proper uniform, tracksuit and sports kits. The
participants can use Spikes and starters (optional). No participant will be allowed to run
barefoot.
4) In case of Athletics Relay events like (4x100 m and 4x 400m) the selected team for the Regional
and National will comprise of the first four position holders of the 100 m and 400 m race
respectively and not the actual winners of the relay events.
1) Relay: If dropped the Baton shall be recovered by the athlete who dropped it. He may leave his
lane to retrieve it provided that, by addition, where the Baton is dropped in such a way that it
moves sideways or forward in the direction of running (including beyond the finish line), the
athlete who dropped it, after his hand, before continuing in the race. Provided these
procedures are adopted where applicable and no other athlete is impeded, dropping the baton
shall not result in disqualification. Ifan athlete does not follow this rules, his team shall be
