PART-A
1 Explain the importance of Software Engineering in Make In India initiative of
Government of India. (05 marks)
2 With the help of a neat block diagram, write a detailed note on SCRUM an agile
process model. (05 marks)
3 With the help of a neat block diagram(s), explain the functional and nonfunctional
requirements. (05 marks)
4 With the help of a neat block diagrams, explain the steps involved in Integration
Testing. (05 marks)
5 Write a note on system characteristics which depend on architectural design. (05 marks)
6 Write a detailed note on Constructive Cost Model (COCOMO) published by Dr.
Barry Bohem in the year 1981. (05 marks)
PART-B
7 Compare the spiral model of software development with water fall model of
software development. (10 marks)
8 Draw and explain the Object Oriented Modeling (UML) diagrams for an ATM
system of a Bank. (10 marks)
9 Compare white box and black box testing tactics to test software. (10 marks)
10 Write a program / algorithm to sort given numbers using any approach of your
choice, draw the flow graph and find the cyclomatic complexity of the same. (10 marks)
11 A project consists of 11 tasks T01 to T11. Six days are required to complete T01.
Tasks T02 to T04 start after T01 and require 8, 9 and 10 days respectively. T05 to
T08 start after completing T02 to T04 and require 19, 18, 17 and 16 days
respectively. T09 and T10 require 25 and 30 days respectively and start after
completing tasks T05 to T08. Task T11 require 15 days and starts after completing
T09 and T10. Find the Critical Path of the Project and minimum number of
days required to complete the Project. (10 marks)

12 A moderate (neither simple nor complex) CAD System has six modules to be
developed with high reliability factor of 1.2 are as shown below along with the
lines of code (LOC):
Module 1 60,000 LOC
Module 2 40,000 LOC
Module 3 50,000 LOC
Module 4 30,000 LOC
Module 5 70,000 LOC
Module 6 50,000 LOC
By using COCOMO-I calculate:
i) Effort in Person Months ii) Number of Months required to complete the Project. (20 marks)
