I. Rationale:

This school year is taking an unexpected turn due to the COVID 19 global
pandemic. Thus it does not only affect the reading skills of the student but also their
values. Some of the student lost their manners and forgot how the word of God
reminds us in our daily living. This LAC session will guide the teachers on how to
make an intervention in reading using bible stories that they will be crafting as well
as the questions that composes of Higher Order Thinking Question or as level
according to bloom’s taxonomy’s level of questioning. Supporting literacy and values
can make full use to our education system.

Raising awareness through these materials will promote the value of


cooperation and comprehension. These materials that will be crafted will not only be
helpful to the teachers but also to the students as they practice their reading skills
they will also be embedded with the teacher of our dear God. The benefits of
applying bible stories in reading can result in education which in turn, leads to social
change.

II. OBJECTIVES

At the end of the activity, the participants are expected to:

1. To create learner-centered strategies in teaching READING using Bible


Stories.
2. To formulate innovative and HOTS questions that will enhance strategies
concerning READING using Bible based stories.
3. To strengthen the reading and values crafted Bible reading Materials.
