2. Greetings
The teacher will greet the class and the students will respond.

3. Setting of Standards/Health Protocols

The teacher will elicit recall of classroom rules and health protocols that needed to be
observed during the entire class duration.

B. Lesson Proper
1. Engagement
 The teacher will give a game called “What’s My Name?” The teacher will divide the
class into three groups. Each group will be instructed to formulate a nine-letter word
with the help of the sentence riddles. They will be given two minutes to complete the
task. The group whose members are first to go back to their seats properly and
provide the correct answer will win the game.
2. Exploration
 After the game, the teacher will ask the following questions:
a. How did you find the activity?
b. What word did you formulate?
c. What helped you find the correct letters to formulate the answer?
d. Is it necessary to practice correctness in performing the activity?
e. Based on the activity carried out, what is the title of our lesson?
 The teacher will display the title of the lesson.
 The teacher will let the students read the learning objectives through group reading.
 The teacher will ask students to make a burger by arranging the ingredients of a
burger correctly as posted on the board. The teacher will explain that the ingredients
of the burger must be placed in their appropriate sections to make it presentable to the
customers. (The burger represents the paragraph, and its ingredients represent the
parts of a paragraph.)

3. Explanation
 The teacher will ask the class if they have background knowledge of what a paragraph is,
and its parts are. After that, the teacher will present the definition of a paragraph and let
the students read and explain it further.
 After that, the teacher will distribute the definition of the parts of a paragraph to the same
groupings. Each group will be instructed to read, understand, and discuss the definition of
the part of the paragraph assigned to them within their group. Two minutes will be
allotted for the group discussion. Right after, they will choose a representative to explain
the parts of a paragraph to the class.
 The teacher will present an example of a paragraph to the class. The teacher will ask the
students to read and identify the parts of a paragraph from the given example.
 With the same groupings, the students will perform an activity called "Name and arrange
my parts." They will examine the sentences and identify to what part of a paragraph they
belong. Three minutes will be allotted to accomplish the task. The teacher will request the
students to post their outputs on the board for class checking. (This activity will
strengthen the knowledge of the students about the topic.)
 After discussing the lesson, the teacher will ask these questions: "What value or quality
do we need to write an effective paragraph?", and "What is the significance of exhibiting
correctness in performing a task, especially in writing a paragraph?"

4. Elaboration
 The students will perform the activity titled "All about my selfie." This activity will be
done individually for five minutes. The teacher will instruct the students to compose a
five-sentence paragraph containing the three parts. Choose one of the following topics:
your favorite hobby; your favorite movie; your favorite food; your favorite place to go; or
your dream job. They will be graded based on the rubrics.
