Naphthaplast G 808UL

NaphthaPlast G-808UL is a water-reducing and retarding superplasticizer that allows for the production of concrete with high slump (at least 100mm) without segregation. It reduces water content by 15%, extends workability, and improves strength, pumpability, finish, and reduces cracking. Recommended uses include pre-cast concrete, ready-mix concrete, transportation of concrete over long distances, and in hot weather conditions.

NAPHTHAPLAST G-808UL

Water-Reducing & Retarding Super-Plasticizer

Description

High range water reducer designed to obtain rheoplastic concrete with slump of at least 100mm, without
segregation.

• Reduces thermal peaks.

• Extended setting time and longer workability.
• Reduction of 15% water content.
• Increases ultimate compressive strength.
• Effects economies of concrete mix by saving cement.
• Improves pump-ability of the material.
• Improves cohesive properties of concrete.
• Reduces the placing problems in hot weather concrete.
• Improves trowel-ability & surface finish.
• Reduces the incidence of honeycombing, shrinkage and cold joints during vibration.

Recommended Uses

• Pre-cast concrete manufacture.

• Ready mix concrete.
• Long distance transportation.
• In hot weather conditions, to extend workability.
• Mass concrete pours.

MSDS for details.

Standards:
Application Guidelines ASTM C-494 Type B, D and G.

Setting Time:
NaphthaPlast G-808UL ensures that rehoplastic concrete remains workable in excess of 3
hours at +20°C. Workability loss is dependent on temperature, type of cement, nature of
aggregate and, method of transport. It is strongly recommended that concrete should be
properly cured, particularly in hot and dry climates.

Effect of Over Dosage:

• Retardation of initial set.
• Increase in air contents.
• Loss of workability.
• Bleed/segregation of mix.

Mixing:
NaphthaPlast G-808UL should be added to concrete during mixing cycle at same time as the
water and aggregates. Never add G-808UL to the dry cement. G-808UL is introduced into the
mixer together with mixing water. The plasticizing effect or water reduction is higher if the
admixture is added to the concrete after 50-70% of the mixing water has been added.

Curing:
Fresh poured concrete must be cured properly, particularly when subject to high
temperatures, in order to prevent drying shrinkages and cracks. Use Vertex Curing
Compounds to achieve best results or apply wet hessians.

Caution:
NaphthaPlast G-808UL is not a fire or health hazard. Spillages should be washed down
immediately with cold water. For further information refer to the material safety data sheet.
