Ultramid® B36LN

Product description Ultramid B36LN is a polyamide 6 grade of intermediate to high viscosity
that is well suited for the production of cast and blown film. Clarity and
thermoformability are enhanced by the incorporation of nucleating and slip
agent.
Supply form and storage Ultramid B36LN is supplied pre-dried and ready for processing in a variety
of moisture proof containers, such as boxes, bigbags (Asia) and bulk
containers.
Food legislation Certificates regarding the status of Ultramid B36LN with respect to the FDA
Regulation 21 CFR 177.1500 "Nylon Resins", the European Regulation
2002/72/EC, the German BfR recommendation "X.Polyamide", 1.6.1998
(Bedarfsgegenständeverordnung in der Neufassung vom 23.12.97 ein-
schließlich der neunten Verordnung zur Änderung der Bedarfsgegen
ständeverordnung vom 07.04.2003) or legislations for other countries will be

Nucleation
Processing Ultramid B36LN may be processed on standard extrusion equipment.
Extruder screws of L:D 24-30 and compression ratio 3.0-3.5 are recommen-
ded.
Typical extruder settings are: zone 1 (feeding zone): 250-270°C,
zone 2-4: 240-270°C, adapter: 240-260°C, die: 240-260°C
