Feedback
Part-1:
Learner have provided adequate description of the organization layout and services. Learner have managed to mention
appropriate sources of information consulted for conducting risk assessment. Learner have managed to mention shift
pattern worked. Learner have mentioned sources and Specific ILO conventions consulted for defining additional control
measures.
Part-2:
Learner have identified 10 hazards from more than 5 different hazard categories conforming to the table -1 of IG2
guidance document.
Learner have recommended adequate control for all identified hazard which will prove sufficient for controlling risk .
Unfortunately, learner have failed to follow hierarchy of control and recommend some ineffective and irrelevant controls in
column- 4 e.g.,
Hazard-3, Column-4, Action-8: Slip and trip related hazard due to spillage of water is identified while training on working
at height is suggested in column-4.
Hazard-4, Column -1 72: It is not clear weather the edge protection for prevention of personal falling is not provided such
as railing or the edge protection for material falling is not provided such as toe boards/safety nets etc. Furthermore,
action-6 is not suitable and have no role in controlling this hazard e.g., workers authorization for operation of equipment
has nothing to do with edge protection.
Learner is advised to revisit the page 07 & 08 of Nebosh IG-2 risk assessment learner guide and ensure that hierarchy
of control is followed while determining any additional control. Control shall be suitable and relevant to the hazard
identified in column-1 & 2. Adequate and clear description of hazard shall be provided in column-1 to ensure the actual
problem is identified and relevant controls are proposed.
Part-3:
Moral and financial arguments were found satisfactory. Learner have managed to select and justify the likelihood,
severity and effectiveness of 3 actions selected based on priority. Learner have mentioned the number of people
exposed to hazard and how often the hazardous activities are carried out. Learner have provide suitable explanation of
recommended action in controlling the risk.
Part-4:
Learner have managed to define a suitable mechanism for communication, implementation, follow-up and review of
recommended action plan. Review date is provided by learner along with adequate reasoning for review.
