Function.

The Polyloader is intended for use with the existing machine hoppers and can be mounted
directly on to a hopper with a flat lid by cutting a 120x165 mm rectangular hole and four 9
mm holes in the lid.

The base of the Polyloader is drilled with four 9 mm holes so that 8 mm bolts can be used
to fasten it in position. The lid of the hopper should be secured to the hopper so that the
Polyloader can not be accidentially pulled off the machine.

To start the Polyloader, switch on the on/off switch on the front of the control box. This
starts the adjustable timer, which at the same time starts the vacuum pup. The magnet will
close the flapper and the vacuum created in the hopper will now draw the powder into the
hopper through the material hose.

The timer terminates the loading period by cutting off the power of the vacuum pump. The
solenoid valve will provide for the vacuum in the hopper to break down, so that the flapper
opens under the weight of the material. The unloading light yellow lights up and the
material is dumped. As soon as the flapper closes, the timer and the pump restarts and the
loading light red lights up.

If the receptacle into which the Polyloader is dumping its load is full, the flapper will not
close. This prevents the loading cycle from re-commencing by holding the microswitch out
of contact. This delaying the re-starting of the timer. As soon as the obstruction is cleared,
the microswitch makes contact and the timer restarts. The cycle continues again until
interrupted by the non closure of the flapper.

Check filter bag regularly and clean if necessary by brushing or compressed air. The
Polyloader must not be operated without the filter bag in position.

A vacuum security valve is fitted to prevent the pump from being overloaded.

Check for false air. Note that it is the vacuum in the hopper that moves the powder into the
hopper - without any vacuum no vonveying of the material. The suction pipe is inserted
into the container from which the material is being drawn.

Never try to force the suction tube down into the material when the motor is off. This may
lead to the blocking of the tube. Let the tube clear its own path to the bottom of the bag or
container.

The Polyloader motor is fitted with a dust bag which protects the motor from dust or fines.
The hopper loader must not be operated without the filter bag in position. It can be
removed for cleaning by brushing or compresse dair. It is very important that the filter bag
is mounted correctly after cleaning or when replaced.

The flapper shaft should move very lightly on the bearings. If the shaft is stiff, the bearings
should be thoroughly cleaned and lubricated with thin oil. The flapper must fit tightly on the
rim of the outlet.

Be careful when re-fitting the motor unit. No false air should be allowed to enter between
the motor and the hopper.
