1. PREPARATION
The network configuration tool described in this document can be operated in the following
environments.
The network setting tool can be downloaded from the POSBANK website, and it operates on the
premise that the network interface (Wi-Fi / Bluetooth / Ethernet) to be set in the target device is
installed on the PC where you want to run the application.
★When using Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, in the case of a device driver that does not support the API
of .Net Framework, you must connect and pair using the tools provided by the chipset and dongle
manufacturers.
2.1. Self-Test
The “Self-Test” function must be activated to check the printer's current settings. To activate, if you
press and hold the “FEED” and “POWER” buttons at the same time when the printer is turned off,
the “Self-Test” function will be activated and the current printer status will be printed.
Step 1. Turn off the printer's power (if the power is already off, please ignore it)
Step 2. While holding down the “FEED” button, press the “POWER” button.
Step 3. Release the button when the red LED is blinking next to the “FEED” button and printing

3. NETWORK SETTING
The procedure for setting up the A8 printer's Wire/Wireless network in the network setting tool is as follows.
1) Wireless Mode (Wi-Fi AP/Station, Bluetooth)
[Search Printer] -> [Select Network Mode] -> [Detailed Settings] -> [Setting Complete]
3.1.1. Execution
If you download the network setting tool from the homepage and unzip it, the folders as shown
in <Figure 3.1.1-1> are created.
<Figure 3.1.1-1>
항목 내 용
.Net_4.6.1(folder) .Net Framework 4.6.1 Offline installation files exist.
NetConfig.exe Network configuration tool executable file that runs on all x86/x64 systems
*.dll Libraries required to run the network configuration tool
Network Configuration Tool provides applications that can run on both x86/x64 systems. As it is
based on “.Net Framework 4.6.1”, if the corresponding Framework is not installed on the user's PC,
install the corresponding version of the Framework in the “.Net_4.6.1” folder and run the
application.
<Figure 3.1.1-2>
If you enter the folder containing the executable file, there are files and folders as shown in <Figure
3.1.1-2>. The network setting tool is based on “.Net Framework 4.6.1” and also supports “.Net
Framework 4” version.
<Figure 3.1.1-3>
Select the mode you want to search among the radio buttons in <Figure 3.1.1-3> and when you
press the “NEXT” button, all of printers operating in that mode can be searched.
<Figure 3.1.2-1>
If you click the “Next” button after selecting the Wi-Fi AP in <Figure 3.1.2-2>, as in <Figure 3.1.2-
3>, if printers are searched, they are marked in the list. If there is an item matching the SSID
information, the printer is normally searched.
<Figure 3.1.2-2>
<Figure 3.1.2-3>
<Figure 3.1.3-1>
After selecting Wi-Fi Station in <Figure 3.1.3-1>, when you press the “Next” button, the printer
devices of that mode are marked on the list as shown in <Figure 3.1.3-2>. If there is an item
that matches the MAC information of the Wi-Fi Station obtained from "Check your settings in
chapter 2", the printer is normally searched.
<Figure 3.1.3-2>
<Figure 3.1.4-1>
If you select Bluetooth in <Figure 3.1.4-1> and click the “Next” button, the printer devices in the
mode are marked in the list as in <Figure 3.1.4-2>. If there is an item matching the last 6 digits of
the Hex Code among the Name information, the printer is normally searched. If there is a Bluetooth
device in the PC but the printer is not marked on the list, pairing with the application distributed
by the manufacturer of the Bluetooth device is performed to secure the COM port connected to
the printer, and check the Manual item in <Figure 3.1.4-2>. After that, select the secured COM
port to proceed.
<Figure 3.1.4-2>
<Figure 3.1.4-3>
3.1.5. Ethernet
When searching for a printer in Ethernet mode, the search is performed by UDP port using Ethernet
Adapter API in “.Net Framework”. If the PC running the network setup tool does not have an
Ethernet adapter or the printer is not connected to the same network, the printer device is not
detected.
<Figure 3.1.5-1>
If you select Ethernet in <Figure 3.1.5-1> and press the “Next” button, the printer devices in the
corresponding mode are marked on the list as in <Figure 3.1.5-2>. If there is an item that matches
“Ethernet Mac Address” information obtained from "check your settings in chapter 2", the printer
search has been normally completed.
