Course Description
This course has been designed to introduce the importance of analyzing various aspects of power
transmission system. It covers transmission line parameters, their calculation and modelling. Steady-
state operation of transmission lines will be modeled and investigated. Mechanical design aspects of
overhead lines including line supports, sag and tension calculations, total length of conductor, etc. will
be discussed in detail.
