There are 5 status flash codes indicating different modes of controller operation.
Here the LED's will blink quickly a number of times and then pause:
1 Flash: Brake Cutoff Engaged
2 Flashes: Regenerative Braking has been Engaged
3 Flashes: Battery voltage is below the low voltage cutoff
4 Flashes: Controller shut off because motor had stalled
5 Flashes: Throttle voltage fault, or already high when controller powered on
2.4 Hall / Phase Mapping Procedure
Previous generations of Grinfineon controller had the ability to automatically map
the hall and phase wires so that the exact pinout details did not matter. This was
very convenient but it is no longer possible with the addition of sinusoidal
sensored mode. It is essential that the hall and phase pinout is correct.
The hall and phase pinout mapping on the SineWave Grinfineon controller is
consistent with how both eZee and Crystalyte motors choose their colour coding,
and they can be matched yellow to yellow, green to green, and blue to blue.
Other popular motor series use a different colour interpretation, and some trial
and error is usually needed to determine the correct pinout.

That 20% baseline is relative to the full range of regen.
I believe the maximum regen torque is approximately 50% of the output torque.
The regen is relatively linear - look at this picture for the 25A map (see above)
The difference between using eBrake and throttle (i.e. digital ebrake signal + increasing throttle)
and the 0-0.8V range is that 0.8V is 0% regen, there is no baseline.
At the moment, the regen from the CA3 as set by the "Brake Out Voltage" under throttle out settings,
is not super adjustable.
You would set a fixed value for the regen (say brake out to 0.2, corresponding to 75% regen torque)
and the ramp rate for the regen would only come from the controller.
Which is a relatively quick ramp, approximately 200ms or so.

Re: Known to Work Brushless Motor/Controller Wiring Diagrams

I completely forgot about this thread. Please allow me to convey the information in a different
format rather than using Color.
I have two 9C clone hub motors and they are wired in opposite directions. However they share two
basic properties and that is the physical Ordering of the Halls and Phase connections inside the hub
motor. Even though both of my motors are from the same supplier/clone distributor and manufactured
at the same place, the Wire Colors are different for Channels A-B-C. I therefore tender this
solution as being Color-agnostic, and it should work for any 3-Phase controller and motor.

2018-06-16 moza1313 Topic: Vesc tool won't connect vesc to motor
I(t) has been working fine for the last month on the bench however now it wont connect to motor.
On FOC motor detect it takes about a minute or two for RL (the red led starts to flash 3 times every 10(ish) seconds)
then says R=0, please measure first.
I have tried re-flashing firmware. I cant get the motor to do anything.
On RL detect it does vibrate and calculate L but says R=0
Fault : FAULT_CODE_DRV
That looks like the DRV chip might have been damaged. Try to replace the DRV chip and see if that helps?
