Baycusan eco E 1000
Special Properties ®
Baycusan eco E 1000 was specifically designed as film former for use in
®
water-based hair styling products. Like all polymers of the Baycusan eco line,
it is based on at least 50 % carbon from renewable feedstock.
Key properties include:
• Flexible & long lasting hold
• Reduced hair frizz
• Straightening & heat protection
Additive ®
Baycusan eco E 1000 contains 1.0 - 1.4 wt.% 2-Methyl-1,3-propanediol
(INCI:Methylpropanediol) , 0.1 - 0.4 wt.% 1,2-Octanediol (INCI: Caprylyl
Glycol) and 0.0 - 0.1% 3-Phenyl-1-propanol (INCI: Phenylpropanol).
Compatibility ®
Baycusan eco E 1000 shows good compatibility with a wide range of cosmetic
®
ingredients including common synthetic and natural thickeners like Carbopol
and Xanthan gum.

Because of its anionic nature, Baycusan eco E 1000 is compatible with
anionic and nonionic hair styling resins. Depending on their charge density,
®
cationic polymers may be incompatible with Baycusan eco E 1000.

Baycusan eco E 1000
Storage • Storage in original sealed Covestro container.
• Recommended storage temperature: 5 - 30 °C.
• Protect from moisture, heat and foreign material.
General information: Brief heating to max. 50°C has no adverse effect on
product properties. The product must be stored in tightly closed containers
to prevent evaporation of water which may result in the formation of a non
redispersible film.
Storage Time Covestro represents that, for a period of twelve months following the day
of shipment as stated in the respective transport documents, the product
will meet the specifications or values set forth in section "specifications or
characteristic data" above, whatever is applicable, provided that the product is
stored in full compliance with the storage conditions set forth in and referenced
under section "storage" above and is otherwise handled appropriately.
The lapse of the twelve months period does not necessarily mean that the
product no longer meets specifications or the set values. However, prior to
using said product, Covestro recommends to test such a product if it still
meets the specifications or the set values. Covestro does not make any
representation regarding the product after the lapse of the twelve months
period and Covestro shall not be responsible or liable in any way for the product
failing to meet specifications or the set values after the lapse of the twelve
months period.
