REPORT

To get started in this video of , ESL BEGINNER DEMO LESSON , I see that there is a sequence in the class
that the teacher has organized in which he seeks to engage the student as the lesson progresses using
different techniques that benefit the student's real life learning.

For example at the beginning of the lesson about the seasons the teacher uses the eliciting technique
with the drilling lexis; with this, he shows the image and uses the key question, What is this? together
with the image so that the student associates it and can answer according to what will be worked on in
the lesson, also another important point is that he uses the language skills making the student repeat
each word so that the information and the pronunciation is recorded in the student's memory, so there
is a good management of the teacher with the class, not only the teacher speaks, on the other hand,
there is participation of the student which creates a harmonious environment.

- Already having clear information about The stations .it’s the student's turn to use their worksheets
provided by the teacher without using their class notes, that way the student practices and at all times
the teacher is a guide when he supervises them, giving them a set time to practice and then correct
together.

- The teacher then goes on to practice the first statement of Q1 with substitution, where the student is
the one who completes the sentences using the picture cards that the teacher provides the student with
at all times as a visual aid, all of which is elicited and exercised. In this way, as soon as students become
comfortable with the structure, they substitute the lexis and practice using the words on the flashcards
in sentences they can use every day .

- After practicing creating sentences by substituting the words, you can move on to creating questions
by engaging the student to answer with yes or no ,and also create the questions by working with their
partner.

- So we will ask 2 questions for statement 2, using the questions on the board like When do you swim?
trying to use at least 3 varied examples with an answer as a guide for the student, this way it is easier to
understand and practice without their notes. In this way, to see that the lesson has been understood,
the teacher can give the student a sheet of paper where the ss can practice all the questions and
statements and then correct them together.

At the end of the lesson, the teacher makes an example of how they can create a daily or routine
conversation using the lesson and then gives them 5 minutes so that they can do it alone with the
supervision of the teacher, it is important to listen to them because in this case there is an error. For
example when they formulate the question with the bicycle it is a little difficult, then the teacher puts it
on the board, I like to ride bikes ? - emphasizing that the mistake is the plural and that they did a great
job.

This demonstration of the class, is common when one begins to teach and as a student to practice so it
is important to keep in mind every step and every technique that can be used in a lesson and this is due
to the level of the student and the motivation that is created in the class to continue learning.
