Scope, Delimitation, and Limitation of the Study

This study is focused on the impact of an absence of laboratory experience on the future careers

of Tanauan Institute's Stem students. Grade 11 senior high school students from Tanauan Institute in

Tanauan City, Batangas would be the respondents for this research.

The researchers will use an online open-ended survey platform called Google Forms as an

instrument to gather data to justify the qualitative nature of our research exploring the absence of

Laboratory experience and its effects on the future careers of Stem Students at Tanauan Institute,

adapting to the restrictions and avoiding the threats of the pandemic. These open-ended questions will

explore students' perspectives on the lack of laboratory experience, their opinions on whether or not

laboratory experience is important in science strands, how they cope with the lack of practical learning,

activities, and tasks, along with their views on the relationship between laboratory experience and future

careers.

Because of the lack of social connections, this study and survey will only cover grade 11 senior

high school Stem Students from Tanauan Institute in Tanauan City, Batangas. This survey is only limited

to Stem students As they're the only strand that works with science and laboratory facilities.

to clarify the meaning of our research.

This way, they are able to choose and effectively employ the appropriate technique to accomplish tasks

or meet specific learning goals (Tophat, n.d).

Active Experiment. It is when a person gets knowledge by experience they gained (Bartleby,

2021).

Covid19. A mild to severe respiratory illness that is caused by a corona virus (Perez, 2020).

Stem Education. A teaching approach that combined science, technology, engineering and math

(Jom, Dobrijevic, 2022).

Laboratory apparatus. The type of equipment found in a building or room equipped for

conducting scientific research or teaching practical science, as for carrying out scientific experiments,

etc. (Collins, 2022)

Virtual laboratory. Interactive, digital simulations of activities that typically take place in

physical laboratory settings (Educause, 2022)

Science laboratory. A room, building or institution equipped for scientific research

experimentation or analysis (Stands4, 2001)
