USB Driver Installation Procedure
What to do if the green LED on the USB cable does not flash when using a laptop with the Survitec
Group Software, when performing the annual inspection of the Survitec ESR liferaft.

1. Insert the “ Survitec Group Extended Service Liferaft Installation Software & Instructions CD” into the laptop CD
tray.

2. When the “AutoPlay” dialogue box loads select “Open folder to view files.”

3. The CD’s contents folder will open.

4. Insert the clear end of USB cable into one of the laptop’s USB ports.

5. In the CD contents folder, select “FTDI-chip drivers” and start up the application.

6. When the application opens, the following dialogue box will appear and the driver installation will begin.

7. Once Windows has finished installing the drivers, the message below will be displayed and the dialogue box will
automatically close.

8. Remove the CD from the tray.

9. Proceed with the annual on-board inspection.
