used to build foreline vacuum

systems. They are quick to
assemble and requ ire no
tools for assembly. A C­
Ciamp and centering 0-ring
fo r m t h e v a c u u m s e a l

flanges. The mati ng flanges -
compress an 0-ring while
the C-clamp is tightened . This Sealed Vacu u m
seals the con nection and Half Nipple Connection
allows the vacuum pump to Fitting
create the vacuum. The seal
can be used in vacu u m
applications up to 1 0-8 Torr.
KF Quick Flange Fittings are
made of type 304 stainless
steel and some fittings come
For KF Flange Assembly /Installation
in aluminum.
Mate 2 same size KF flange faces (fittings may be different) to
each other by means of a KF 0-ring in between flange faces. Wrap a
C-Ciamp around the connection and hand tighten. The flange face
surfaces compress the 0-Ring creating the vacuum seal.

These manual butterfly valves provide a low-cost alternative to bel lows sealed gate valves . These valves easily
actuate from the fu lly-closed position to fu lly open with only a quarter turn of the knob. A patented design allows
the sealing disk to center itself when clos i n g , with even pressure around the Viton 0-ring sea l . This design also
helps to lower the amount of scuffi ng or rol ling of the 0-ri n g . Quarter-turn actuation, small footprint and the
shortest possible gas path make manual butterfly valves the preferred choice for many applications. These
vacu u m butterfly valves are designed to have a low leak rate, typically on the order of 1 x1 Q-9 std . cc/sec. H el i u m .

connected to a self l u bricating plastic cam pisto n ,
actuates t h e valve stem a n d valve plate through PTFE
bearings. The valve plate 0-ri ng g roove is vented to
prevent gas bursts. This valve is desig ned to operate
down to 1 0-9 m bar I 7 . 5 x 1 0- 1 0 Torr and up to a
pressure of 2 1 00 m bar I 1 575 Torr (30 psi ) . The 0-Ring
is Fluoroelastomer. The molecular conductance is 0 . 2

These a l l metal Isolation seal angle valves are i ntended r.J��
for use i n U HV or cryogenic appl ications where
temperature extremes precl ude the use of our
elastomer seal valves. Approved for use in bea m l i n e
faci l ities, these valves have a tem perature operati ng
range from -250°C to 400 ° C . The pul led-port method is
used for the fabrication of the sta i n less steel bod ies
resulting in h i g her conductance and better clea n l i ness.
These All metal isolation valves are desig ned to have a
low leak rate , typically on the order of 1 x 1 0- 1 0 std .
cc/sec U HV. These Isolation valves have a CF Conflat
1 . 33 or 2 . 75 inch vacu u m flange for connection to the

added to any vacuum system to establish an adjustable leak. It offers
unprecedented control sensitivity and stabil ity with leak rates as small as 1 x

I n the s i m plest of terms, HVA Conflat C F vacu um gate

valves are devices that regulate the flow of gases, fl u id s
o r materials through a structure or aperture b y openi n g ,
closing or obstructi ng a port o r passageway. Gate valve
assembl ies consist of three key components: an
actuator, a carriage/gate and a valve body. The actuator
provides the power to position or transport the valve's
carriage/gate. The actuator is attached to the valve's
body via a recta ngular bonnet flange. The gate closes
or opens one of the valves body ports. The valve body is
a vacu u m tight chamber that is screwed , flanged or
welded i nto a larger vacu u m vessel or system .

The 1 1 000 Series Gate Valves feature a positive lock­

over center mechanism. Li near actuation al lows the
use of a welded bellows to seal the actuator ( i . e . no
rotary seals). Shock and vi bration are reduced to a
m i n i m u m by a u n i q u e a i r cyl inder desi g n . This feature is
extremely beneficial for sem i conductor fabrication and
other sensitive processing req u i ring operation which is ,
relatively free of vi bration .

The HVA sta i n less steel body offers one of the smallest
i nterior surface areas in the vacu u m valve industry. The
body and all major internal com ponents are vacu um
furnace brazed at 1 1 00C, at 1 x 1 0-6 Torr, ensuring
max i m u m joint i nteg rity. This e l i m i nates the possi bil ity
of virtual leaks or entrapment areas and m i n i m izes
body d i stortion found in conventionally welded valves .
For mai ntenance purposes , the carriage assembly can CF 6, 8, 1 0 inch
