Start ScanStation C10
Start the Leica ScanStation C10
and wait for the boot process to
finish.
The message bar should switch
from „Calibrate State“ to „Idle
State“.
No further settings on the
scanner required.

Plug in the Ethernet cable (Lemo
connector) to the scanner’s
network connector
Plug in the Ethernet cable
(network connector) to the
Huawei E5151
Power on the Huawei E5151

Start the Apple iPad by pressing
the ON/Off button
Unlock the system

Initialize RDP Lite
Install the free app Remote
Desktop Lite (RDP Lite).
It provides access to a PC
running Windows XP
Professional or Vista/Windows 7.
In the App Store search for „rdp
lite“ to find it.

connection with

Connect and select the
connection to the scanner.
RDP Lite will establish a remote
connection on your iPad to the
scanner.

Use C10 MMI remotely
After some seconds the entire
ScanStation C10 window with the
active MMI is displayed.
Use the iPad finger command to
enlarge the MMI to any size.
Lock the screen with the lock button
Use the icon to minimize the RDP
control bar and get full access to the
ScanStation C10 interface.
The C10 is now ready for remote
control via iPad touchscreen (the little
green dot represents your point of
16 selection).

Use C10 MMI remotely cont’d
When numeric/alphanumeric MMI
input fields are selected
the default MMI virtual keyboard can
be used or
the iPad virtual keyboard can be
used by pressing

RDP Lite and Apple iPhone
The app Remote Desktop Lite
(RDP Lite) also works on the
Apple iPhone.
Hence this combination can also
be used to control the Leica
ScanStation C10.

Apple iPad I with IOS 5.1.1 was used. The
configuration of your device might be
slightly different from this description.
Tested on Mocha RDP Light v3.1. Other RDP
apps can be used but might work differently.
