6.1 Introduction
When a form printer is installed to the 2500-QF1 Instrument, two (2) custom Reports become
available. Each report is designed to be quickly and easily programmed to suit the customers
requirements. The Report(s) are automatically formatted as they are programmed, and the
format cannot be field modified. Each available report has two parts, the REPORT
GENERATOR, and the TRANSACTION REPORT. The report generator is used to design
the report, and the transaction report is used to print it.
When a transaction record is created, there are data fields created within the record.
These data fields are available for use when reports are printed. The operator can select
which data fields will appear in the report and the order in which they will be printed.
This is done by assigning PRIORITIES to the fields. The priority is the number of the
column in which the data will appear in the report.

PAGE WIDTH = 0 10 CPI
The Report(s) are automatically formatted as they are programmed, and the format cannot be
field modified. The page width will vary from 0 to 156, depending on the number of fields that
have been selected to be printed in the report. This number can not be changed manually,
but will change automatically as the number of prioritized field changes. The CPI (characters
per inch) number will also change automatically as the number of prioritized fields is changed.
At the cursor, enter the number of the column where this item is to appear in the report. If a
“1" is entered, this will be printed in the first column of the report. If a “2" is entered, this will
be printed in the second column of the report, “3” the third column, etc..
If a “0" is entered as the column number, the data in this field WILL NOT BE PRINTED in the
report.
For all fields except “TIME IN”, and “TIME OUT”, upon assigning a priority to a data field, the
2500-QF1 will prompt for the entry of a SEARCH FIELD. If no search fields are to be used,
leave this field BLANK and advance to the next field by pressing the ENTER key.
The SEARCH FIELD feature is explained in the following section.
Repeat this process for each of the fields that are required in the report.
6.2.1 Conditions
1. If a field has a priority of “0", it will not be printed in the report.
2. If two fields are assigned the same priority, the one that occurs first in the field list will be
printed first in the report.
3. If fields 3 through 11 are assigned a priority other than “0", the operator will be asked if the
field is to be used as a SEARCH FIELD. The SEARCH FIELD feature is explained in the
following section.
6.3.1 TRICKS
Several keys have unique functions when used in the search filed feature.
50740-29
pressing the ENTER key. PAGE WIDTH = 0 10 CPI
6.3.3 Conditions
1. If two or more fields are assigned, the records are sorted by the first field and then by the
second. Only those records that fit all of the search fields selected will be printed in the
report.
2. Different search fields can be assigned for REPORT GENERATOR 1 and REPORT
GENERATOR 2. Otherwise, the two report generators work the same way.
3. At the end of each report generated from a search field, the “totals” for all of the listed
transactions will be printed. For example, if the search field selected is “OUTBOUND
WEIGHT” the total outbound weight for all entered transaction will be printed at the end of
the report.
4. IN TIME and TIME OUT can not be used as search fields.
5. When a new search filed is selected, all existing search fields should be deleted. Deleting
search fields is done by placing the cursor beside the search field and repeatedly pressing
the back arrow on the keypad.

7.16 DIVISION SIZE - Select the desired division size, from 0.001 to 50. The dual range fea-
ture is enabled at this program step. If dual range is selected, select the lower range division
size, the Instrument will automatically select the higher one. The indicator will automatically
switch to the next higher division size in the higher range when that weight range is reached
or exceeded, and motion on the scale has settled within the Motion Band setting. DUAL
RANGE will also display the capacity and division size of the scale that is in use.
7.17 MOTION BAND - Select the desired motion band setting. Motion Band is defined as the
number of divisions the scale weight must be stable before a zero, tare, autotare, or print
operation will occur.
7.18 AUTO ZERO TRACKING BAND - Select Automatic zero tracking band in divisions.
This feature will automatically maintain zero within the number of divisions selected as a con-
venience against the effects of wind, rain, snow, debris, etc. .
7.19 FILTER FACTOR - Select to digitally filter the scale weight reading to counter the effects
of wind, vibration, etc. On most floor scale applications, select “MEDIUM” filtering.
7.20 FIRST CELL ID - This is the ID number assigned to the first load cell in the scale.
Usually, the number “1" will be assigned to first cell in scale one. In a two scale system, ”1"
would be assigned the first cell in scale 1 and “5" would be assigned to the first cell in scale
2.
7.21 LAST CELL ID - This is the ID number for the last load cell in the scale. If there is only
one scale, this will be the number of the last load cell. If there are two scales in the system,
the last load cell in scale 1 might be “4" and the last load cell in scale 2 might be ”8".
7.22 FLOAT SWITCH LOCATION - This feature does not apply to the IND-HR2500-QF1.

weight value. Press the ENTER key. The pointer will stop flashing (blink on and off).
50740-37
8.1 SPAN ( CORNERS )
Use this feature to calibrate individual corners, or loadcells in the system. The Instrument will
prompt for entering the value of test weight being used, will establish zero, and will then
prompt for the weight to be applied to each loadcell in the system in consecutive order ( i.e.
cell 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. )
8.2 HYSTERESIS
The difference between two indicated or represented values for any given test load, one
obtained by increasing the loading from zero to the given test load, the other obtained by
decreasing the loading from the maximum rated load to the given test load.
8.2.1 UPPER
The weight value at which the correction factor will be entered into the calculation, when un-
loading the scale.
8.2.2 BACKLASH
The weight value equal to the test weight increment plus the impact over-run caused by
putting the test weight on the scale.
8.2.3 LOWER
The weight value at which the correction factor is dropped from the calculation when coming
down.
8.2.4 HYSTERESIS
The correction value to be added or subtracted from the UPPER weigh value.
8.2.5 +/-
The sign, “+” to add, or"-" to subtract the HYSTERESIS value from the UPPER weight value.

50740-38
8.7.1 PHONE #
This should be the telephone number of the local service organization, including area code.
This is the telephone number that will be displayed if the indicator detects load cell problems.
This number should be entered by the technician at the time of installation.
8.7.3 LOCATION ID
This should be a 5 character unique ID code to identify the instrument when the automatic
error log reporting function is utilized. This number should be entered by the technician at the
time of installation
When this option is selected, the Technician can adjust the frequency for which the Error
Message Log is automatically sent. The range is from 1 to 99 minutes, the default at initial
instrument power up is 15 min. This frequency is also the time between attempts when a
transmission failure occurs. The instrument must be in the weigh mode for the automatic
function to occur. The Technician will be informed with a message prompt when the
transmission attempt is occurring. The instrument will automatically return to the weigh mode
upon completion of modem transmission attempt. If there are no entries in the Error
Message Log or if all the error messages have been previously sent, no transmission attempt
occurs. All error messages are kept by error code in the error log until the CLEAR ERROR
LOG selection is used or individually deleted via the VIEW ERROR LOG selection.
When this option is selected, the Technician can adjust the set point for when a Low
Transaction Memory Remaining error is logged. The value entered represents the percent-
age of total transaction memory used before an error condition is set. When a transaction
report occurs and the remaining transaction memory falls below the set point, the error condi-
tion is removed from the Error Message Log.
When this option is selected, the Technician is prompted to make sure he/she wants to
Clear the Error Log. By pressing the <ENTER> key the Error Message Log is cleared.
Upon applying power to the 2500-QF1 Instrument, it will begin to poll for loadcell counts from
the QMB (Quad Multiplexor Board Assy ACC-3000-1A). The results are displayed on the
warm-up screen with the message “CELLS FOUND”.
For a single QMB Interface, the correct message will be “CELLS FOUND 1, 2, 3, 4”.
For a dual QMB Interface, the correct message will be “CELLS FOUND 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8”.
The 2500-QF1 Instrument provides 10 VDC loadcell Excitation Voltage to the QMB Interface
ACC 3000-1A. The voltage must be within the Tolerances shown below.
The QMB (Quad Multiplexor Board Assy ACC-3000-1A) provides an A/D converter for each of
the four (4) loadcell inputs and provides gain and deadload offset settings that are fixed and
cannot be adjusted. Each loadcell input can be tested with a loadcell simulator. When view-
ing the CELL OUTPUT (COUNTS) in the Service Menu screen, the following must be within
the Tolerances shown below.
This message is caused by a difference between the amount of counts established for ZERO,
or with the scale unloaded, and the amount of current counts for each loadcell in the system.
If this difference is greater than 20% of the capacity of the loadcell(s), this message will be
displayed.
The ZERO calibrated counts are established in the CALIBRATION / CELL SENSITIVITY
mV/V screen by placing the pointer next to the legend “CALIBRATE” and pressing the
ENTER key twice.
These counts can be seen in the SERVICE MENU / CELL OUTPUT (COUNTS) screen.
The screen will show the load cells, the calibration counts and the current counts. Any load
cells that are considered to have problems will be highlighted.
