by thermo weld process.
 Backfilling with approved fill material and reinstating to position.

6.2 Equipment and Metallic Earthing

 The electrical equipment shall be connected to the earth bus and finally the earth bus shall be
connected with aux. grids or earth grid.
 The transformer neutral earthing shall have a disconnecting link facility in the earthing circuit
and shall be mounted on trench or foundation side wall below the grating level.
 The neutrals of all voltage levels of transformers / reactors shall be earthed through independent
earthing. All these earthing points should be connected to substation earthing grid or mat. Each
earthing lead from neutrals of power transformers or reactors, capacitor voltage transformers &
lightning arrestors shall be connected to earth electrodes which in turn connected to earth grid /
mat. The transformers as well as associated accessories like separate cooler banks shall also be
connected to earth grid.
 All other equipment such as circuit breakers, CTs, isolators, post insulators, bus bar structures
and equipment structures, marshalling boxes, cubicles, control and relay panels etc shall be
