0 T3 Precision Auto-Positioning X-ray System, Typical Pre-installation works
Requirements.
For all X-ray rooms, this specification example is for typical pre-installation requirements. For specific
installations, please refer to Xograph pre-installation drawings for your site, these need to be used with the
standard T3 precision wiring diagram D-53880-Rev 2.0.
1. Structural Specification
The Typical Pre-installation Requirements shall be generally as detailed below:
Please note these are non-site specific and a full room survey is required.
2. Equipment Images
XHC-000-Rev 2.0 T3 Precision Auto-Positioning X-ray System, Typical Pre-installation works
Requirements.
3. Ceiling / Floor / Wall Specification
4. The performance of the System is highly dependent on the quality of the pre-installation works
that have to be done on the ceiling, the floor and the wall.
5. The Manufacturer does not take responsibility of the ceiling, floor or wall construction.
6. The Manufacturer recommends the ceiling, floor and wall to be levelled to 1mm/m.
7. Local regulations and specifications must be observed.
8. The specifications specified in this section, do not apply for earthquake risk regions. For more
information and specifications regarding risk assessments and calculations, please contact the
Manufacturer’s sales department.
9. Local regulations and specifications must also be observed. The forces listed in this document
are not always in correspondence with the local and/or national regulations.
10. Unistrut Ceiling Specification & Details
11. The pre-installation contractor needs to provide all necessary fixation points are present at the
ceiling. Use Unistrut rails or similar standard systems mounted with a distance between the rail
centres of 650 mm and 2900-3100 mm above the floor.
12. The Unistrut rails shall be parallel with the long side of the patient table.
• Vertical alignment shall be within +/- 1 mm.
• Every single attachment point must be able to carry a load of at least 400kg.
XHC-000-Rev 2.0 T3 Precision Auto-Positioning X-ray System, Typical Pre-installation works
Requirements.
• The Ceiling suspended x-ray tube support with 4x4m rails, must have at least 10
brackets at the ceiling.
• All attachment points together must be able to carry at least 2000kg.
• +/- 1 mm deformation are allowed.
13. To be able to mount the cable carriage, the distance between the wall and the ceiling rail Y, must
be min.120 mm.
14. To be able to push the OTC into the traverse rails, the distance between the wall and the traverse
rail X, must be at least 1000 mm. If this distance to the wall is not achievable, the 4 wagon wheels
may be dismounted and the wagon lifted up, in between the traverses. Then the wheels may be
remounted, while the wagon is held in place.
15. Xograph Healthcare Ltd accepts no responsibility for the ceiling design. The room drawing only
contains the positions of the rails and the weight of the equipment to which the ceiling must be
designed and constructed.
16. The ceiling contractor must also supply 30 no. P1010/M10 Unistrut nuts fitted with spring washers
for Xograph to fix their main rails to the Unistrut ceiling.
17. Supply the appropriate quantity of colour matched closer strips for the Unistrut channels these are
to be fitted by the installing ceiling contractor at the completion of the x-ray equipment installation.
18. Ceiling tiles to a design agreed with the customer are to be supplied. NB the installation of the
closing strips and the ceiling tiles is to be carried out AFTER the installation of the x-ray
equipment has been completed. Installation of the x-ray equipment requires both the ceiling tiles
and closing strips to be absent from the ceiling. If these are installed prior to the x-ray installation
they must be removed and reinstated by the ceiling contractor.
19. Supply all room lighting. Lighting is to be 600mm modular fittings and to be flush with the finished
Unistrut ceiling. Smoke detectors must be fitted outside of the ceiling rails and working area of the
x-ray equipment
N.B. the reference to "Unistrut" does not preclude the use of other proprietary strut type stock provided that
the alternative is 100% mechanically compatible with Unistrut.
