“Wreath” The pattern is simple:

Ch 25.
Row 1: cream yarn: start in second chain
STRIPE from hook: hdc* in each back ridge loop,
I used wool yarn Mega wool chunky, 100g, turn [24]
125 m of “ESSENTIALS” in cream (001) and *hdc – special half double crochet:
light blue (010). You should need 1 ball of -yarn over and insert your hook into the next
stitch (fig 3);
each color (fig 1).

back ridge loops

I used a foam 250 mm or 9,8 inch in

diameter and 16 mm or 6,3 inch in width. I
found mine in Banier (local flower shop).
You can use a metal or wooden ring (fig 2). 4
It you will use metal ring you should need
the stuffing.
You are going to create a long crocheted
strip that you will then wrap around and
stitch together onto the wreath. The strip
will be 19 cm (7,4 inch) height and 62 cm
(24,4 inch) length.

Row 3: light blue yarn: ch 2, work in both

loops: 24 hdc*, turn [24]
6 Row 4: light blue yarn: ch 2, work in back
ridge loops: 24 hdc*, turn [24]
• Tip: don’t cut the previously yarn after
changing. Make sure that the loops are
loose enough to stretch when you will sew
the strip around the wreath.
7 After 3 rows, put the stripe around the
form. My stripe past well (fig 11, 12), but if
your stripe is a little bit bigger just add the
stuffing by sewing two sides together.

11

Row 2: cream yarn: ch 2 (don’t cound it as 12

first st), work in back ridge loops: 24 hdc*,
(fig 7, 8)[24]
Change the yarn to light blue.
• Tip: change the color of yarn by doing the
last stitch (fig 9, 10). Change the yarn to cream.
Row 5: cream yarn: ch 2, work in both
9 loops: 24 hdc*, turn [24]
Row 6: cream yarn: ch 2, work in back ridge
loops: 24 hdc*, turn [24]
Change the yarn to light blue.
Row 7: light blue yarn: ch 2, work in both
loops: 24 hdc*, turn [24]
7
Row 8: light blue yarn: ch 2, work in back next two loops and join it with slip stitch (fig
ridge loops: 24 hdc*, turn, (fig 13) [24] 17, 18).
• make a slip stitch loosely.
13
16

Repeat the rows 5-6-7-8 9 times more.

Cut the yarn, leave a long tail for sewing.
Turn the stripe around the foam and make 17
sure that the length is enough for the
closing ( fig 14, 15).
I have made 44 rows, and my stripe is
around 62 cm length.

14
18

Now take your tapestry needle and start

stitching it together. It always looks like it
won’t work out, but keep matching up the
15 beginning of the row to the end of the same
row and it will all come together with no
lumps or bumps at the end (fig 19, 20).
Add the stuffing as you needed it during the
sewing.

19

Now we are going to connect two sides

together. Insert your hook in back loop of
last row and front loop of first row (fig 16),
make a slip stitch. Again, insert your hook in
