BBI 2O Mini Business

Plan Board Game

Culminating Activity
Assignment: Create an original board game and prepare written report in the
form of a Business Plan

Description:
You and your 3 partners (max 4 students in your group) will be creating a new business in one
of the most popular (and competitive) industries in the world – board games! You will develop a
board game that is currently not on the market (much preferred) OR you may choose to take an
existing board game and make it original by adding a major twist to it.

Use your textbook and notes as a guide for the different aspects needed to start your business.

PHASE I – PROJECT PROPOSAL

In your group, develop a typed approximately 2-page double-spaced proposal of your

business. This must include the following information:

 Company name and name of board game. Explain each chosen name.

 Group member names and responsibilities/task list for each member (use a chart for
this section!) Remember to put in projected deadlines for each task.

 Explanation of how the game will be played

 Prototype diagram of how the game will appear visually

 Explain why this game would be attractive and marketable to high school students

Use complete sentences and paragraphs. Include report headings in your proposal.

Similar to real life, your idea will either be approved or rejected. If

your concept is approved, you can move on to the next phase of the
project. However, if your idea is rejected, you must go back to the
drawing board.

DUE DATE: FRIDAY APRIL 21, 2023

Phase I is worth 10% of the Total Culminating Assignment mark.

 You must create/provide a board, game pieces, dice and other accessories if necessary.

 The game must operate in a smooth fashion

 Produce a typed copy of game instructions that is clear and easy

to follow. (use headings where appropriate)
