GUARANTEE SCHEMES
‘SHAKTI’ - Free travel in all four state owned road

‘GRUHA JYOTHI’ - Free electricity upto 200 units
for domestic consumers. More than 2 crore
consumers to be benefited and Rs.13,910 crore is

‘GRUHA LAKSHMI’- Rs.2,000 monthly financial
assistance to woman head of the family. Rs.30,000
crore is the estimated annual expenditure.
‘ANNA BHAGYA’ - 5 k.g. additional food grains for
all eligible persons. Rs.170 per beneficiary per
month will be transferred through DBT until food

WOMEN AND CHILD WELFARE
Rs. 2,000 monthly allowance to woman head of the
family under Gruha Lakshmi scheme.
Karnataka State Finance Corporation to provide
loans upto Rs.5 crores at 4 percent interest rate to
women entrepreneurs in service sector.
10 residential schools for children with intellectual
disability to be set up in 7 districts at a cost of
Rs.2 crore.
Rs.30 crore to be spent on providing motorized two
wheelers to 4,000 specially-abled persons.
Acid attack victims will be provided interest free
loan facility upto Rs.5 lakh through Karnataka
State Women’s Development Corporation and
housing facility through Rajiv Gandhi Housing
Corporation respectively.

WELFARE OF THE WEAKER SECTION
Rs.34,294 crore allocated under SCSP/TSP, which
is Rs.4,079 crore more than the February Budget
of 2023-24.
Section 7(d) of SCSP/ TSP Act, 2013 to be dropped
to ensure that grants allocated under SCSP and
TSP are used for the benefit of the same
communities.
Rs.36 crore for fee reimbursement of SC/ST

Kadukuruba, Koraga, Iruliga, Bettakuruba etc.,
and Rs.48 crore allocated for distribution of
nutritious foodkits to 11 Tribal Communities.
These food kits will now be distributed during all
the 12 months of the year.
100 forest produce units to be set up in tribal area

will benefit additional 12,500 students. Ten new

Rs.75 crore for Arivu Educational Loan Scheme for

Rs.60 crore for Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for
minority students which was discontinued by
Union Government.
Rs.5 crore to start language labs in all Minority
Morarji Desai Residential Schools.
