Mobile Application Developer – React Native

We are looking for a React Native developer interested in building performant mobile apps on
both the iOS and Android platforms. You will play a key role in our mobile technology team.

What will you do:


- Develop and maintain the Houm Mobile app in React Native on both iOS and Android.
- Provide application support for defect fixing, enhancements and upgrades, including
maintaining and upgrading custom forks of essential libraries (ReactNative libraries with iOS or
Android Native components).
- Build pixel-perfect, buttery smooth UIs across both mobile platforms.
- Leverage native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms.
- Provide valuable insight on how we can refine our processes and tools to support additional
contributors in our architecture and code.
- Influence how we build individual features and products, and bring in best practices and patterns
that can be used for engineering lifecycle for Android & iOS discipline.

What do you bring


- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred. We’d prefer you to have
5 to 6 years of experience in mobile applications development.
- At least 2 years of experience with the cross platform framework – React Native and related core
libraries (redux, react-navigation, Animated API etc).
- Experience in Native iOS (Obj-C or Swift) or Native Android (Java) (either one) required.
- Experience in profiling and performance tuning of React Native Applications.
- Firm grasp of JavaScript, Flow types, including ES6+ syntax.
- Familiarity with native build tools like XCode, Android Studio/Gradle.
- Experience in Native (iOS or Android) modules for React Native would be preferred.
- Understanding of React Native build systems (transpilers/ bundlers/ native build) and
managing native dependencies.
- Knowledge of latest React Native (0.59 or higher) with pluggable JSC preferred.
- Good working experience on Web Service Integration (REST, JSON, XML) & cloud technologies -
AWS, GAE, GCM.
- Experience in using analytics, location and social APIs, MDM, payment gateway, SMS gateway,
media content transcoding and cloud integration, APM tools.
