ADVENTURES IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION BY ALVIN AGUILLON JR.

During this semester, we experienced lots of

things and did lots of activities. However, the most
memorable ones are those from our Physical
Education (P.E) subject. Not only did we have fun,
we also learned some things along the way. We
discussed with our peers some interesting topics
which were assigned to us by Ma’am Mericel D. Estorninos that are related to
recreational activities such as camping, social parties, mountaineering and
aquatics. Each group had unique ways of discussing these topics and each
one of them made the topics very clear for us.

I was fond of the first group of reporters whose topic was all about
camping. They exhibited a fun way off reporting by
adding some jokes that made us laugh. Those
jokes weren’t really a distraction since it helped
us understand the various things to do and don’ts
when camping. Their activities was also fun like
the tent building where we competed with other
groups on who’s the fastest to set up their tents. The pressure of time running
out and competition was nerve-wracking but at the same time, enjoyable. Not
only did we display good teamwork, we also learned strategies on how to set
the tent up fast. Even if in the end we didn’t get first place, we still enjoyed the
activity.

For our group, we reported the social parties.

Although the way we reported was not as good as the
first group, we still manage to imprint the topics we
were assigned to. For our activity, I considered the
hands and feet hopscotch as the best. It was very
entertaining since some of the contestants cannot
really follow the pattern and most of the time, they stumble and fall on the
ground, making the observers laugh.
The third group’s topic was all about
mountaineering.. They taught us about the different
types of mountain climbing, the do’s and don’ts, the
safety precautions and many more. As they report
mountaineering, it makes me fantasize about
climbing a mountain with a complete gear. After the
report, the activity that they
had for us was a puzzle game. We competed with
other groups to see who was the fastest to solve
their assigned puzzle, much like the first group. I
have to admit that I was not much of a help during
the activity, but I did found the activity entertaining.

The fourth group was the aquatics. They were serious with their report
but it wasn’t boring so we did
understand the lessons. The activities
that they had for us were the best
among all of the other groups. Based
from the term aquatics, we had to play with water. The activities were
enjoyable thanks to the assigned group telling us to bring t-shirts and pants.
Because of it, we were able to enjoy the activities to the fullest.

Engaging in recreational activities is a wonderful way to relax,

rejuvenate, and explore
new interests. Moreover,
one can enjoy
recreational activities if
they bring their friends or
family. During this semester, I had a lot of fun and I will always treasure the
memories I made. Through recreational activities, it improved the way I think,
the way I act, and the way I interact with others. By intentionally incorporating
recreational activities into our routines, we can cultivate a more balanced and
fulfilling lifestyle.
