Device identification
Each RC3 time clock terminal has a unique identification number associated with it within the company. This number allows the
software to differentiate each of the units connected to the computer or network.
This number can be displayed or changed directly on the device by entering the device menu using the MENU key and then selecting
option 4 Config / 1. Other Config / Machine ID.
Any identifier number between 1 and 255 can be chosen, but you must ensure that two computers within the same company do not share
the same number; Each device must have a different identifier number.
Once you have established the desired identification number, you must enter it when registering the time clock terminal in the TimeWork
program.

8.8.1 Administrator users on TimeWork RC3 external clocks
By default, anyone can view and modify the configuration of the RC3 time clock terminal by pressing the [MENU] button on the device. To
prevent unauthorized people from using this feature you will need to configure an administrator user on the terminal. Once at least one
administrator user is registered on the device, it will not allow access to the administration menu unless the required credentials are provided.
Follow these steps to add an administrator user in the terminal:
1- Press the [MENU] button, select option 1 Register and then 1. New .
2- Press button 1 to select option 1. ID and then OK key to edit the value.
Type the number of the worker you want to become an Administrator and press OK .
3- Press the 6 button to select the Admin option and then use the Ay▼ keys to change the value to Admin or Sup Usu.
4- Complete the registration of the employee's fingerprint, card or password as described in the topic Managing Employees in RC3 Time
Clock.
Although administrator users can be assigned a fingerprint, it is advisable that they also be assigned a numerical password, this way if the
administrator user does not attend or leaves the company they can transmit their password to another person to access the settings of the team.

8.8.2 Collecting logs from USB memory to TimeWork RC3 external clocks
The RC3 time clock terminals have the possibility of downloading attendance records to a USB memory, allowing attendance information to
be obtained without being directly connected to the PC. This scenario is favorable when it is not possible to connect a network or USB cable to
the terminal. Once these records are downloaded, the TimeWork program can read them from the USB and process them.
Collect check-in and check-out logs on a USB stick
1- Insert the USB memory into the RC3 clock terminal.
2- Press [MENU] on the device.
To collect attendance records that were downloaded to a USB flash drive follow these steps:
1- Connect the USB memory on which you downloaded the logs to the computer.
2- Click the Interface with External Clocks option from the TimeWork Manager Tools menu .
3- Click the Collect USB Logs button, the Collect Logs from USB Memory window will open:
4- Select the drive letter of the USB flash drive. A list will be displayed with the identification numbers of all TimeWork RC3
terminals that downloaded data to that memory.
5- Check the box for those endpoints you want to collect and click OK. The logs downloaded to the USB flash drive will be displayed
on the screen and you can import them into the TimeWork database using the Import Logs button.
Deleting terminal logs
Although it is always possible to import all the records via the USB memory, it will eventually be necessary to delete the data from the RC3
time clock terminal. Follow these steps to do it:
1- Press [MENU] on the device.
Warning: DO NOT select option 2 All Delete or 3 Initialization. These options will erase all information on the device including employee information.

Time limit from which the device accepts a new registration for the same employee.
This value allows the device to ignore check-ins and check-outs that the same employee has marked in a very short period of time. For
example: if you set this value to 2 minutes and an employee makes several registrations between 8:00am and 8:01am then the terminal
will consider only the first registration and ignore all the others; The device will resume accepting registrations for the employee when
the specified 2 minutes have passed.
See Glog
