Hi Friend, Today I heard that this week (11th to 17th Jan)
is Road Safety Week, But why all these …………
we use our roads daily!

Yes! I pledge my support to Road Safe India and to save lives on
road.
l I will be a responsible driver / rider / pedestrian.
l I will observe all the traffic rules and regulations concerning safe
driving and safe use of the road.
l I will not allow distractions like cell phone usage, talking, etc to take
my focus off the road.
l I will always be aware of my surroundings while driving / crossing
roads.
l I will not drink or take medication or drugs and drive.
l I will not over speed or give into road rage or rash driving.
l I will not put others’ lives at risk, if my health is a hazard to driving.
l I will ensure the usage of seatbelt or helmet for all passengers.
l I will cross only at the zebra crossing.
l I will maintain a roadworthy vehicle and ensure I use indicators,
mirrors and lights appropriately as and when necessary.
l I will share the road with pedestrians, bicyclists, motorcyclists,
large truck and bus drivers.
I hereby declare my commitment to the Road Safe India pledge as
set out above, to the best of my ability and will actively strive to
follow the rules and regulation of the road.

Always obey Traffic Signals.

Road Crossway (Zebra Crossings) is only for Pedestrians.

Always select suitable helmets while riding bike or cycle.
Don’t wear helmets without chin strap.

Be seen by wearing Bright Colour clothes in the Day
and Light or Reflective Colour clothes in the Dark.
Always put your seat belt "ON" while driving four wheeler.
Select proper seat belt which suits your kids too.

Always park vehicles in Designated Parking Zone.
Do not park in no parking area.

Do not drink and drive.

Use Parking Light & Caution Triangle while attending breakdown.

Remember that speed limits are a maximum, not a target.

Know about Road Signs
