Water analysis Procedure - Ranges and frequency for boilers and engines
Purpose of the document
This company directive describes the new rules in terms of water analysis ranges and frequency for boilers and
engines.
Vessel’s allocation by suppliers is mentioned in Appendix 1.
Scope of the document
This company directive applies to all owned vessels.
Definitions and abbreviations
MCMG: Marichem
DM: Drew Marine
MARINE CARE
ZEP: Third parties for providing website, storage of data and water analysis recommendations.
SGS: Third parties for providing website, storage of data and water analysis recommendations.
Third parties for water analysis
A. Introduction:

3 Suppliers have been chosen for the Chemicals supply, DREW MARINE, MCMG and MARINE CARE and make an
equal distribution of our Fleet to mitigate the risk.

For the follow-up of the water treatment process on the fleet, it has been decided to use ZEP MARINE and SGS as
third-party suppliers to provide analyzers, reagents, software, reports with recommendations and website for
storage of reports.

To harmonize the periodicity and the analysis ranges, makers recommendations have been considered instead of
chemical makers recommendations.
The photometer added to PH meter and the conductivity meter are laboratory approved. Therefore, no more
ashore analysis is necessary to comply with makers recommendations.

Note: Unitor for reference only until the onboard chemicals supplied by Unitor are exhausted.

B. Supplier allocation:

Please see Appendix 1 for Suppliers allocation per vessel then split between ZEP MARINE & SGS.

• Input your results in the ZEP Excel Form (can be found on ‘Download’ section).
• Upload the data to Marine Cloud.
• View the evaluation of your results

In case you notice that there is misnaming of your systems (e.g., Boiler 2 instead of EGB) please liaise with ZEP
through the platform chat and they will update the changes.

In case of any issues related to the installation, please open a ticket to IT support.
