Update email settings on all devices used for your Microsoft

365 account.

Tell us how you access email and we’ll guide you through how to move to Microsoft Exchange.

Note: All users in your organization using POP or IMAP also need to update to Exchange settings.

To preserve your calendar and contacts, you’ll first want to backup
Outlook.

Open Outlook.

Go to your Calendar or Contacts. (You'll export these one at a time.)

Select File > Open & Export > Import/Export.

Select Export to a file > Next.

Select the Outlook Data File (.pst) > Next.

Select the Include subfolders checkbox > Next.

Select Browse. Choose where to save the file, rename it, and
select OK.

Select Finish > OK.

Repeat these steps to back up both your calendar and contacts.

The Outlook Setup Assistant can update your settings.

Download the Outlook Setup Assistant to install and run the program.

Be sure to have your email address and password handy.

Note: By using the tool, you acknowledge that your usage has been
authorized by GoDaddy.

You've downloaded the Outlook Setup Assistant.

Open the file to install it on your computer. Then follow the prompts in
the assistant.

When you're done, come back here and continue to the next step.

Now you’re ready to import your backup:

Open Outlook.

Go to your Calendar or Contacts. (You'll import these one at a time.)

Select File > Open & Export > Import/Export.

Select Import from another program or file > Next.

Select Outlook Data File (.pst) > Next.

Select Browse. Find and select your backup file, open it, and
select Next.

Select Outlook Data File, and select your Calendar or Contacts.

Select Import items into the current folder > Finish.

Repeat these steps to import both your calendar and contacts.

Nice work! You've updated your email to Exchange settings on this

If you check email in other places, update all your devices to


Exchange.

Note:
1. If you had multiple email accounts in Outlook, you'll need to add
them again.
Select File > Add Account and follow the on-screen instructions.

Your previous email account was set up as POP or IMAP.

First, you may need to remove your POP/IMAP account.

Open Outlook. Tap Menu (circle in upper-left corner) >

In Settings, tap your POP/IMAP email address under Mail accounts.

Scroll down and tap Delete Account > Delete.

Next, add your new Exchange account:

Open Outlook > Tap Menu (circle in the upper-left corner) >

Settings > Add Mail Account > Add an email account.

(If you’re asked to select your email provider, tap Office 365).

Enter your password and Sign In.

(You might need to choose your account type as Work or School.)

Download and install Office apps


for Android
Stay productive with Office apps on your Android device. If you have
an Online Business Essentials, Business Essentials, or Business
Professional plan, you'll need to download each Office app separately
from the Google Play Store.

1. The Office app combines Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint


in one place and is available to download for Android. To get
Microsoft Office, use your phone's camera to scan this QR code.
2. To download additional apps or get them separately, select your
preferred app, and then install it:
o Microsoft Excel
o Microsoft OneDrive
o Microsoft Outlook
o Microsoft PowerPoint
o Microsoft SharePoint
o Microsoft Teams
o Microsoft Word
3. Open the app, and then select Sign In.
4. Enter your Microsoft 365 email address.
5. Select Next.
6. You'll be redirected to a different sign-in page to enter your
password.
7. Select Sign in

Depending on how many files and folders you have, it can take several
minutes to sync everything. After the sync is complete, you can
access, create and share all of your documents.

Add my Workspace Email to


Outlook (Windows)

Step 4 of the Set up my Workspace Email series.

Add your Workspace Email address to Outlook 2016 or newer for


Windows PC. Then you can send and receive business emails.

1. Open Outlook.
2. Select File, then Add Account.

If you haven't opened Outlook before, you'll see a welcome


screen.

3. Enter your Workspace Email address and select Connect.

Note: If Outlook automatically discovers your Workspace Email


account, enter your password and select Connect, then skip to
step 11.
4. Choose POP or IMAP.

5. Under Incoming mail, enter the Server and Port.

What to enter for... Server Port

Incoming Server (POP) pop.secureserver.net 995

6. If you're using IMAP, for the Encryption method,


select SSL/TLS from the list.
If you're using POP, select the checkbox for SSL/TLS.

7. Under Outgoing mail, enter the Server and Port:


o Server: smtpout.secureserver.net
o Port: 465
8. For the Encryption method, select SSL/TLS from the list.
9. Select Next.
10. Enter your Password and select Connect.

11. Once you see confirmation that your email account was
added, select Done.
Setup Your GoDaddy Account with Your Email Program Using IMAP

To access your GoDaddy email account from a desktop email program, you'll
need the IMAP and SMTP settings below:

Server and port settings for


Workspace Email
Server and port settings are used to set up email clients on mobile and
desktop devices. You can find your server and port settings in the
Workspace Control Center as well as listed below.

If you only see POP3 Incoming server, your email plan does not
support IMAP. Learn more about the difference between POP and
IMAP.

IMAP server and ports

 Incoming server (IMAP): imap.secureserver.net


 SSL Port: 993

POP3 server and ports

 Incoming server (POP3): pop.secureserver.net


 SSL Port: 995

Outgoing server and ports

 Outgoing server (SMTP): smtpout.secureserver.net

for Business Email
 Server and port settings can help you manually set up your email
account on an email client or mobile phone.

You can find your personal server settings by logging into your
GoDaddy Business Email account, and clicking on the email
address you're setting up. You can also find them below.
