BERRIES
Greetings everyone. I hope everyone had a very good afternoon. My name
is Hyeong Ju Lee from class 2 Emerald and today I would like to talk about
berries.
Berries are small, soft, round fruit of various colors — mainly blue, red, or
purple. They’re sweet to the tongue or sour in taste and are often eaten raw
or used in jams and desserts.
Recently, the Açaí berry became very popular among the youth via social
media such as Tiktok, Instagram, Twitter and many more. Due to this spike
in the popularity of the Açaí berry, Other berries such as Goji berries also
received a boost in popularity.
Low in calories but very high in nutrition, Berries are some of the healthiest
foods you can eat.
Vitamins such as Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Vitamin K and minerals such as
Manganese, copper and iron are found in berries in large quantities. Berries
are also high in fiber which helps with digestion.
Berries such as raspberries, black raspberries and blueberries may also
help with heart health which is a great upside to consuming them.
Berries can also be good for your skin and according to some reports, may
even help protect you from cancer!
Vegans also include berries in their meals to replace sugars found in
common non-vegan items such as honey and people on a diet enjoy
berries as a low-calorie snack.
Due to these properties, berries are widely considered superfoods by many
professionals in the field.
Berries are a wonderful addition to your diet. They can be enjoyed in nearly
all kinds of diets and there are tons of ways to enjoy them and all of them
are great!
Dried berries can act as a nice tart snack that lasts long and tastes
delicious. Jams and preserves made with berries can act as great
condiments alongside foods such as bread, yoghurt, salad, oatmeal and
more. Or, if none of these serve your liking, you can always eat them raw.
Due to the positives that berries present, you can have them almost every
day without any consequences.
In conclusion, berries are a wonderful addition to your diet. As a main
dessert or in the sidelines. Berries are amazing little fruit that pack a
vitamin punch! By including them in your diet on a regular basis, you can
improve your overall health in a very enjoyable way.
