ENCAMPMENT 2023
ACCOMPLISHMENT
REPORT
As the sun began its descent on the evening of October 13th, a sense of unity and
excitement filled the air as scouts from all around gathered for the much-anticipated school
encampment. The opening day of this event was marked by a series of meaningful
ceremonies and inspiring speeches.
Torch Parade: The Torch Parade was the first order of business, and it was a beautiful
sight to behold. Scouts, each holding a torch aloft, moved in perfect harmony, creating a
mesmerizing display of flickering flames against the backdrop of the darkening sky. It was a
symbol of the light of knowledge and unity that guided them in their scouting journey.
Campfire: The scouts then gathered around a roaring campfire, its crackling flames
casting warm, dancing shadows upon their faces. This campfire served as the centerpiece for
a poignant rededication ceremony, where both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts reaffirmed their
commitment to the Scout Promise and Law.
First to step forward was Rash Bernardino, a young Boy Scout, who stood with
unwavering resolve to recite the Boy Scout Promise. His voice resonated through the forest
as he declared, "On my honor, I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country, to
obey the Scout Law, to help other people at all times, to keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight."
Next, Akihiro Capispisan, another Boy Scout, took the stage to recite the Boy Scout
Law. His words echoed like a beacon of guidance in the night, as he said, "A Scout is
trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean,
and reverent."
Krizzy Ayesha Andrade, representing the Girl Scouts, stepped forward with grace and
poise. She recited the Girl Scout Promise, pledging, "On my honor, I will try to serve God
and my country, to help people at all times, and to live by the Girl Scout Law."
Finally, Jamnia Samaco, another Girl Scout, recited the Girl Scout Law with a
profound sense of purpose. She emphasized the core values of the Girl Scout movement: "I
will do my best to be honest and fair, friendly and helpful, considerate and caring, courageous
and strong, and responsible for what I say and do, and to respect myself and others, respect
authority, use resources wisely, make the world a better place, and be a sister to every Girl
Scout."
As the Philippine National Anthem resonated through the camp, led by Mrs. Gina G.
Gabuna, a sense of national pride swelled within each scout's heart.
Mrs. Mary Rose F. Pahit, the Teacher-In-Charge, delivered messages filled with
inspiration, underscoring the importance of the scouting movement and the values it imparts
to the youth.
Mr. Hadjie F. Pahit and Ms. Alpha Joy G. Gabuna then presented the participants,
acknowledging the scouts and leaders who had come together for this special event.
Inspirational messages were delivered by Ms. Juvy Zubiaga, the District GSP
Coordinator, and Mr. Robert Manito, the District BSP Coordinator, emphasizing the impact
of scouting on individuals and communities.
Opening of School Encampment: With the formalities concluded, Mr. Irish G. Ibabao,
the Master of Ceremony, announced the official opening of the school encampment. It was a
moment of great anticipation and excitement as the scouts dispersed to their respective
campsites, ready to embark on a journey of learning, camaraderie, and personal growth,
guided by the timeless principles of scouting. Under the starry night sky, their faces reflected
determination and the spirit of adventure that would shape their days to come.
