The Aladdin Financial Engineering business is responsible for all analytics technology across the Aladdin
platform. We research, develop and implement state-of-the-art quantitative models used to assess
financial risk across fixed income, equities, derivatives, and private market products.
Our business is hiring Quant Masters within two teams:
Modeling & Research Core Analytics Solutions
Research and development of financial models End to end analytics and model delivery, client
underpinning risk management analytics. adoption, and thought leadership around
analytics and models for stakeholders.
Our team is known for:
• Building advanced models used in portfolio and risk management in the space of rates and derivatives,
structured products, corporate credit, equities, and private market assets.
• Contributing to the BlackRock’s technology platform by implementing security and portfolio analytic
models on Aladdin
• Providing solutions to global portfolio management teams to construct portfolios that are consistent
with specified risk and performance objectives, and efficiently address liquidity related limitations
• Staying at the forefront of BlackRock’s technology platform to make our partners and stakeholders the
best users of Aladdin
• Enabling unbiased insights into financial markets and portfolios
• Providing critical independent thought leadership
• Providing independent risk oversight for senior management of the firm and the Board of Directors
• Effectively communicating and influencing internal partners to manage risk
• Maintaining integrity as a fiduciary to clients
Our team partners with:
• Portfolio Managers, Risk Managers, Product Strategists, Portfolio Consultants, Software Engineering,
COOs of Investment teams and many others, as well as the external Aladdin client community
What capabilities are we looking for?
• Enrollment in an analytics, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or quantitative master’s
program
• Knowledge of finance, econometrics, statistical analysis, and/or advanced math
• Analytical approach
• Problem solving
• Technical curiosity
• Intermediate programming skills
• Experience with Java, C++, Python, or other language / technologies

What will you do as an associate?
• Gain an understanding of analytics, markets, risk, and Aladdin’s capabilities
• Build and implement new and improved quantitative and statistical models on the Aladdin
platform
• Engineer next-generation data and model platforms through the use of cutting-edge
technologies
• Contribute to the development, testing, and implementation of quantitative and statistical
models, analytics and reporting for new security products, portfolio risk, performance, and
liquidity analytics.
• Apply quantitative and analytical skills to solve business problems and fulfill client requests
• Communicate sophisticated models to clients and end users with varying technical backgrounds
• Build financial and statistical knowledge while improving quantitative skills
• Contribute to high-profile projects that advance BlackRock’s top strategic priorities
• Coordinate with colleagues globally, across cross-functional teams
