Symptom
The RFC destinations (H type and G type), to be specified in the configuration for download procedure HTTP
Protocol, for downloading digitally signed SAP Note did not have a naming convention to be followed. SAP
now recommends using specific names.
Few other minor errors (in log, exception handling) and changes (for update or upgrade scenario).

Reason and Prerequisites
The RFC destinations - H type and G type - to be specified for downloading digitally signed SAP Note using
HTTP protocol could be named as per end user's descretion. SAP now recommends using the name SAP-
SUPPORT_PORTAL for type H connection to https://apps.support.sap.com and using the name SAP-
SUPPORT_NOTE_DOWNLOAD for type G connection to https://notesdownloads.sap.com.
Also, few minor errors in logging and exception handling and, code changes to avoid overwrite of parts of
code in Note Assistant during update or upgrade.
Solution
Implement the corrections in this SAP Note or update to the Support Package having the corrections.
