ChatGPT and Google Bard in A.I. chatbot race

The next online revolution has started. It is gathering pace at
breakneck speed. It began on November the 30th when the
tech company OpenAI released its ChatGPT chatbot. This is a
search box you can have a conversation with. It can provide
the answer to pretty much any request you make, in perfect
grammar. Should you require a 300-word text about a movie
star written in the style of Shakespeare, you will get it.
ChatGPT has spread like wildfire across social media. Analysts
have dubbed it a game changer. Hot on the heels of ChatGPT
comes Google's Bard chatbot. This was launched on February
the 6th. A Google Microsoft battle for supremacy over the future of online search is now unfolding.

There are countless questions regarding how chatbots will shake up the Internet and our world. Educators are
worrying about "the end of homework" as bots can instantly provide convincing essays and answers to a grade-
A standard. Workers are concerned the bots are a genuine threat to all manner of jobs. On the day Microsoft
added ChatGPT to its Bing search engine, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella stated: "It's a new day in search." Google
allayed people's fears about the emergence and possible threats of chatbots. It said: "AI can deepen our
understanding of information and turn it into useful knowledge more efficiently - making it easier for people to
get to the heart of what they're looking for and get things done."

True / False

1) The article says the next Internet revolution is happening very quickly. TRUE

2) The company that created ChatGPT is called AI Open. FALSE

8) Google said AI means we can get things done more efficiently. TRUE

Answer. Explain each answer

1. What do you think about what you read?

I think that the text has some things that are true, but they only spoke about it and only took 2 AI as a
reference when there are actually more than ten of them.
2. How might chatbots enhance students’ learning?
Chatbots can help students learn more about topics easily, but the answers are not always correct, so they
can help students solve questions and learn faster.

3. What question would you like to ask a chatbot now?

I would like to ask the chatbot if I answer the questions correctly.

4. What do you know about ChatGPT and Bard?

I know about the 2 AIs is that they solve questions and help in different areas like programming.

5. What would you like to use a chatbot for?

I normally use the chatbot for programming code assistance for the university.

Mercedes makes mind-control car

Cars are becoming more and more
technologically advanced. In the past decade,
we have seen improvements in electric car
technology and driverless cars. The latest
advance comes from Mercedes-Benz. The
luxury carmaker has unveiled a car that lets
you use your mind to control certain things.
The car giant unveiled its futuristic car at the
IAA Mobility show in Munich earlier this
week. The car is called Vision AVTR. The four
capitalized letters at the end of its name is to
make people think of the movie Avatar. This movie was about using the brain to connect with nature. A Mercedes
spokesperson said the car would not be available for purchase any time soon. It is currently in the concept stage
of production.

Mercedes is using a technology called brain-computer interface (BCI) in the Vision AVTR. The car's computers
"read" brain signals and translate them into actions. Mercedes says the system needs about a minute to get to
understand a new driver's thought processes. The driver will then be able to perform certain functions in the car
using just their thoughts. Mercedes spokeswoman Britta Seeger spoke about how exciting she thought the
futuristic car was. She said: "Mercedes-Benz is setting another milestone in the merging of man and machine."
The Mercedes website says: "As soon as you get in, the car becomes an extension of your own body and a tool
to discover the environment."

1. decade ___e__ a. showed

2. latest ___f__ b. change

3. unveiled __a___ c. link

6. translate ___b__ f. most recent

7. processes ___i__ g. joining

8. setting __d___ h. idea

9. merging ___g__ i. activity

10. extension __j___ j. addition

Answer. Explain each answer

1. Are high-tech cars better than old cars?

New cars are better than old cars in some things but not in all, new cars may be safer and connect more with
the driver, but old cars tend to be more durable over time.

2. What do you think of driverless cars?

Nowadays, driving without the driver is more normal than before, but there are still things to improve in
terms of safety, in fact, it depends on the location of the car, its safety.

3. Would you like to control things with your mind?

I would not like , because I am a person who sometimes thinks many things at the same time and something
is likely to go wrong.

4. What are the dangers of a mind-controlled car?

Our Sun will die in 10 billion years from now

Scientists have worked out when our Sun will die. It won't
be any time soon. It will be in 10 billion years. The scientists
are from the University of Manchester in the UK. They
predict that in about 5 billion years from now, the Sun will
turn into a "red giant". This is the scientific name given to a
star at the end of its life. When our Sun becomes a red giant,
its centre will shrink. Its outer layers will expand as far as
Mars. This means Earth will be burnt and disappear. After
our Sun turns into a red giant, it will become a planetary
nebula. This is a bubble of gas and space dust. The scientists say no humans will be on Earth when the Sun dies
out. Humans will disappear in around one billion years from now.

The Sun is still quite young in space years. It is just 4.6 billion years old. This means it is only around one third into
its lifespan. Professor Albert Zijlstra, a scientist from the University of Manchester, explained what happens at
the end of a star's life. He said: "When a star dies, it ejects a mass of gas and dust into space.... This reveals the
star's core. By this point in the star's life, it is running out of fuel." He said it eventually turns off and dies. Professor
Zijlstra was happy that modern science can calculate the age of stars and what will happen to them. He said we
can measure the presence of stars in distant galaxies, and "we even have found out what the Sun will do when it
dies".
