I, Labiba Raida from BUS251 Section 1, writing to request an opportunity to sit for a make-up midterm
exam. I will be away for the final round of Business Case Competition in China from March 15 till March
21, which coincides with our midterm exam schedule.

With relentless efforts and hard work over the past 1 month, I along with my team have finally made it
to the final round of Business Case Competition to be held in Beijing, China. You will be pleased to know,
this competition is one of the most acclaimed competitions across the world. This will add a great value
to our future prospects. However, I am currently met with a dilemma. Our midterm exam is scheduled
on March 18, whereas I will be residing in Beijing from March 15 till March 21 for the competition. It will
be nearly impossible for me to attend the exam during the scheduled time. I sincerely need your kind
support in this difficult situation.

Enclosed herewith are the verification documents, i.e., VC’s ‘Special Allowance Permit’ and Acceptance
Letter from the competition’s organizers. I hope you will consider my request and allow me to attend
the make-up exam at a revised date. (enter)
