If students are suppoed to link sintences with a connector of time they have to find action 1
first
Rules :
a. After, as soon as , when + subject+ past perfect+ subject+ past simple
b. Before + subject + past simple+ subject+ past perfect
c. Until ( in the middle) subject+ didn’t +stem+ until+subject + past perfect
Ps : if the subject is the same, students have to write a word that can refer to in the second
action to avoid repetition
Eg : Sumerians invented new irrigation systems. Sumerians failed in agriculture
Students have to identify action 1, subjects and verbs
- Before sumerians invented new irrigation, they had failed in agriculture
- After Sumerians had failed in agriculture, they invented new irrigation system
- Sumerians didn’t invent new irrigation system until they had failed in agriculture
In spite of the fact that and despite of the fact that have the same work as the connectors
above (but, although ………….) no changes

Thousands of years ago, there were many major civilization in the word. Most of them were
know by their growth and development in all fields of history. All civilizations went through three
steps: rise, flourish and collapse and they were all rose along rivers.
Suggested conclusion:
To sum up we can say that all civilizations left a big thumb in history and they made great
contributions to the development of today’s world, the reason why we have to protect them because
they are considered as the identity of any country.
