WHAT TIME DO SPANISH PEOPLE GO TO BED?
1 SPAIN is famous for its lifestyle. For example, Spanish people usually have lunch at
2:30 p.m. and dinner at 10:00 p.m. People don’t usually go to bed before midnight.
They usually go out every night. The streets are noisy too.
Visitors usually ask: ‘When do Spanish people go to bed?`
2 Spanish people love walking, and they often go for a walk around the town in the

evenings. At 10:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, pubs and restaurants are full.
Cinema is very popular in Spain (25% of adults go to the cinema once a week or
more). But Spanish night-life really starts at midnight. A lot of nightclubs or pubs
don’t close before 6:00 a.m.
In Valencia, some discos open at 10:00 on Saturday mornings!
3 About 21% of the population goes to church. On Sundays mornings people go to
the country (Carmona / Lorca) or the beach (Barcelona / Valencia). Spanish people
often travel at weekends. Many families have a house in the country and they go
