MARK 5 v 25-34 . v25; And a certain woman which had an issue of blood 12 years. Her Deplorable Condition; What an unfortunate person this was. The Jewish law of her day came from Leviticus 15 v25; And if a woman have an issue of her blood many days out of her time of separation or it run beyond the time of her separation, all the days of the issue of her uncleanness shall be as the days of her separation, she shall be unclean. While in this state this woman was unable to enter the Temple to worship God. if anyone touched her or her clothes then that person was also declared to be unclean. This is a picture of the sinner cut off from God because of the his rejection of Jesus Christ whom God allowed to die on Calvarys Cross that the sinners of this world might be forgiven and reconciled to God.. This woman was probably lonely, frustrated, in some distress and had no peace of mind, no joy only Jesus Christ could help her back to normality. Acts 4 vl2. Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other name under heaven, given among men, whereby we must be saved. A long sickness is a wearying thing, and a long period away from God brings unhappiness, frustration, worry and continued sin. This woman was certainly in a deplorable condition until she met Jesus. We often meet people who do not know Jesus as Saviour and they are heading for a lost eternity. John 3 v36; He that believes on the Son has everlasting life, and he that believes not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him. You can reach out to Jesus now, ask forgiveness for your sins and ask Jesus Christ to take control of your life. He will reconcile you to God. 26; And had suffered many things of many physicians and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered but rather grew worse. Her Demanding Concern; She had spent all her money, had been to many doctors and other people but to no avail.. She had tried everything and her condition was getting worse, How sad it is when a person becomes a drug addict or an alcoholic, spending all their money on this habit and finding no one to cure them. How they need Jesus Christ who alone can save them completely from their folly. Without Jesus a person is heading for a lost eternity in hell . All a person can do for a sinner is to point he or she to Jesus who alone can meet our needs and , bring us into the family of God. What is your main concern today ? Your most desperate need today may be to repent of your sin and reach out by faith to Jesus Christ. and let Him be your Saviour and Redeemer. Have you ever asked Him to take control of your life. Mark 8 v36-37; For what shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul. or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul. Her Desperate Confusion. Can you imagine the confusion this woman must have been in as she went from one doctor to another all telling her to try various remedies. She was becoming weaker in strength and health. Was she going to die ? People would shun her because she was unclean. She would be unhappy and frustrated. Was there no one she could turn to for help and a cure for her plague. Trying to find health 333and happiness and peace of mind. it can be found in Jesus Christ. John 14 v27; Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Come out of confusion and put your faith in Jesus. This woman could say, if I can but touch His clothes, I shall be whole. Spirit, soul and body. v27; when she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched His garment. Her Deep conviction. She had heard of Jesus and the miracles he was performing. changing peoples lives, healing the sick. Today there are many people who have heard of God and Jesus Christ but refuse to believe that they exist. This womans life was beginning to change, For the first time in years she had a positive thought and planned to put it into action. This may have been the one and only chance she had to get close to Jesus. and it may well be the last time you hear a message about the love and compassion of Jesus and of the God who will forgive your sins So this woman pushes her way through the crowd and touched Jesus. 0 the joy of finding the answer to her problems. Let Jesus be the answer to your needs, reach out and touch Him now. She was most fortunate that she lived in the same place and time as Jesus Christ. However Jesus Christ is here in our day by His Spirit and He still asks us to have faith and believe in Him. Luke 5 v32; I came not

to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Luke 12 v8-9; Also I say unto you, whosoever shall confess Me before men, him shall the Son also confess before the angels of God But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God. So great was this womans conviction that this time she was going to be healed that she went to some trouble to push her way through the crowd . How great is your need, have you a strong conviction that Jesus Christ can make you a new person and save you. Acts 2 v2l; And it shall come to pass that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. When you have a toothache you hurry to the dentist. When you have a pain you hurry to the doctor, Romans 3 v23 says, For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. So if we are sinners in Gods sight should we not hurry to Him and ask His forgiveness of those sins that we might know Jesus Christ as Saviour and regain our peace of mind and the joy that He has for us. 2 Corinthians 6 v2a. Now is the accepted time, behold now is the day .6-f salvation. (Reach out to Jesus and be made whole. ) 2 Corinthians 5 vl7-18a; Therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creature, old things are passed away, behold all things are become new. And all things are of God who has reconciled us to-Himself by Jesus Christ. v28; For she said, if I may but touch His clothes I shall be whole. if I can even just touch His garment I know I shall be healed .This is the kind of faith that Jesus is looking for in you and 1. What a difference there is in our lives when we are a confident people. Life is so much happier. If you died tonight in your sleep with no faith in the Lord Jesus Christ then you will have made our own choice to deny Him a place in your lives and in so doing we are choosing to have a place in hell with satan and his demons for all eternity. Revelation 14 v9-11 And the third angel followed them saying with a loud voice, if any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead or in his hand; the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of His indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever; and they have no rest day nor night who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever received the mark of his name. Heaven and hell are real places and when we reach out to Jesus we choose heaven and the presence of Jesus for eternity. Iif you were out fishing and your boat capsized in rough seas you would be floundering about in the water calling out for help , The if some nearby fisherman came to your rescue and held out his hand to you I am sure you would reach out and clasp his hand and be saved. .Reach out to Jesus and be saved and know that your sins are forgiven. So after 12 long years of searching and confusion and frustration, this woman is fortunate to have met Jesus-and put her faith in Him Matthew 11 v28-29 says, Come unto me all you that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart and you shall find rest unto your souls. V29; And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. Her Delightful Cure She knew that she was healed, she knew that she had a new life ahead of her. Jesus lives today to give you a new life and to give you His peace and joy through all tribulations. Isaiah 26 v3; Thou shalt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusts in you. Then again God says in Isaiah 57 v2l; There is no peace, sayeth my God, to the wicked. So we choose our own destiny and what we will have while on this earth. Reach out to Jesus. This woman knew she was ill and she knew when she was cured. No one could have talked her out of that yet some people would try and talk you out of the kingdom of heaven. Acts 16 v3l; Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved. What joy this woman must have had when she realised that her faith in Jesus brought her the desire of her heart. Now she could go to the Temple with her offerings and give thanks to God . She could meet openly with people and she would certainly have followed Jesus and the disciples. God does answer prayer and through Jesus he will meet our needs. v3O; And Jesus immediately knowing in Himself that virtue had gone out of Him, turned Him about in the press and said, Who touched my clothes ? Her Divine Champion; This wasnt the local doctor or her brother in law or a friend. This was the Son of God who was to die on Calvarys Cross for the sinners of this world. He came to die for you and I because God sent Him to this earth to redeem and reconcile us to Him. And although God raised Jesus from the

grave for our salvation we still have to make a choice as to what we will do with Jesus. This woman with all her sin and sickness reached out to Jesus in desperation and faith and was able to rejoice in Christ her Saviour. Jesus will return to gather up His church and take it to Heaven. 1 Thessalonians 4 vl3 -18 should be read. John 14 v2-3; In my Fathers house are many mansions, if it were not so I would have told you. And if I go and prepare a place for you I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am there you may be also. Reach out to Jesus and let Him forgive your sins and take your burdens and meet your needs. v3l; And His disciples said unto Him, You see the multitude thronging you and say you who touched me ? Her Defective Cover. A strange title perhaps but then there are no secret disciples. if Jesus Christ is Lord and Saviour in our lives then others should know that we are Christians. This woman tried to hide in the crowd but Jesus knew someone had touched Him. So He turned to see where the woman was and she confessed she had reached out to Jesus. Jesus was pleased that yet another person had seen fit to trust Him to meet her needs. But she also needed to give the praise and the glory for her healing and her redemption. Having reached out to Jesus and made Him our Saviour and rejoiced in His love and mercy and compassion let us reach out to other needy souls that they too may come to trust our Lord. v33; But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her came and fell down before Him and told Him all the truth. Her Desirable Confession. Matthew 10 v32-33; Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whoso shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before My father which is in heaven. As we confess that we have taken Jesus Christ as our Saviour then we should confess and be pleased to be known as a Christian as we seek to live the Christian way of life. Let us have a good testimony to tell others of what Jesus has done and is doing in our lives each day. The greatest healing of all must be when Jesus comes into our lives at our conversion when he forgives our sins and reconciles us to God. 2 Corinthians 5 vl7; Therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creature, old things are passed away, behold all things are become new. And all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ . So Jesus says, believe in me, trust in me and I will bring you into the family of God. He is Lord, He is Lord. He is risen from the dead and he is Lord. Every knee shall bow, every tongue confess, that Jesus Christ is Lord. v34; And He said unto her, daughter your faith has made you whole. Go in peace and be whole of your plague. Her Desired Comfort. The New Testament contains many references of Jesus and the disciples and other Christians healing the sick and bringing them into the family of God. This womans great desire was that she should be made whole and Jesus met that need. She was healed, her sins were forgiven, she was reconciled to God and she became a new person with a whole new life ahead of her. No wonder she could rejoice and what great news she could tell her friends. She had met Jesus, she had reached out and touched Him. Would you like to have Jesus say to you, Your faith has made you whole, go in peace ? Repent of your sins, confess to God and ask His forgiveness and ask Jesus to take control of your life and rejoice as you are brought into the family of God. The day is fast approaching when Christ will come for His church. will you be left behind or will I you be caught up in the clouds with all the other Christians. 1 Thess 4 vl3-18. For I would not have you to be ignorant brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that you sorrow not even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him. For this we say unto you by the Word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord, shall not prevent them that are asleep. For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord. This woman could claim to be reconciled to God, a member of the family of God and when Jesus returns for His church she will be resurrected with all other Christians who Sleep in Jesus All Christians will be with Jesus for eternity. While she was a sinner she was separated from God and a lost soul. Now Jesus could say to her, your

faith has made you whole. Faith to be healed, faith to have that peace of mind that only Jesus can give you. Jesus Christ could say, Go in peace, your faith has made you whole. Spirit soul, and body. Reach out to Jesus and touch Him by faith, repent of your sins and ask God to forgive you. Then invite Jesus to take control of your life which satan had previously. I will sing the wondrous story of the Christ who died for me. How He left His home in glory for the Cross on Calvary. I was lost but Jesus found me, found the sheep that went astray Threw His loving arms around me, drew me back into His way. I was bruised but Jesus healed me, faint was I from many a fall Sight was gone and fears possessed me, but He freed me from them all. Have Thine own way Lord, have Thine own way Hold oer my being absolute sway. Fill with Thy Spirit till all shall see Christ only always living in me.
