Consecrate Russia Now!

ood morning. Let us first pray a Hail Mary, asking Our Lady to help us understand Her Message in all its gravity. (Hail Mary recited.) The talk I am giving today is about Consecration Now. First of all, we should ask ourselves why this Conference and then why Consecration and why Now! I am sure you all know this, but I will just review it briefly. It all starts with a story. It is a story about each one of us, a story about all of us. Its a story about the whole world. But it is not just a story, its a true story, its a story were living through right now. And it is not a childish story, it is very serious. This story is not just to pass the time of day; it, ultimately, is about our own salvation, peace in the world, and whether we live through war in the next couple of years, or

whether we live through a period of peace without war. Ultimately, its up to us, its our responsibility. St. Thomas tells us: against a fact, there is no argument. Let us start with the facts. In 1917, Pope Benedict XV, a Vatican diplomat before he became Pope, recognized, after three years of many efforts, that there was no way out of World War I, that it was demonic and it could not be stopped, except for the intervention of Heaven. And so, on the 5th of May 1917, he appealed to the Blessed Virgin, in a public way in a letter to the Cardinal Vicar of Rome. He appealed in a public way for Her to show him and all mankind the way to peace. Our Lady Responds to Pope Benedict XV The Blessed Virgin came, you might say, because the

Pope asked Her to come. Eight days later, She did come. And over the next six months, She explained the only way to world peace. On May 13, She came to three children Jacinta, Francisco and Lucia and She told them that She wanted them to come back each month for the next five months, until October 13. She told them always, of course, to pray the Rosary. She told them that She would come back the next month to tell them what else She wanted. On June 13, as on May 13, She opened Her hands and a light came from the palms of Her hands. On May 13, the light fell on the hearts of the children and they had a foretaste of Heaven. On June 13, the light from the palms of Her hands fell on the children, and when She opened Her hands, the children could see the Immaculate Heart of Mary circled with thorns. They recognized that these thorns represented the sins of men, that they offended Our Lady very much, and Our Lady was looking for reparation to console Her.

The light also fell on the children differently; the light from one hand fell on Jacinta and Francisco and went up to Heaven. The children understood in this light that they were soon going to die and go to Heaven. Whereas the light from the other hand fell on Lucia and went down on the earth. Lucia understood that, in this light, she would stay longer on earth. Now Our Lady didnt only give them this understanding interiorly, but She said it in words as well. The Children Are Shown the Vision of Hell We see that Our Lady explains everything. On July 13, Our Lady opened Her hands and this time, when the children looked at the light, it didnt fall on them but, rather, fell on the ground in front of Our Lady, between Her and the children. They looked down to see what it was pointing to and they could see the fires of hell. Lucia tells us in her memoirs: We saw, as it were, a vast sea of fire, in which were plunged, all blackened and burnt, demons and souls in human form like transparent embers. Raised into the air by

the flames they fell back in all directions, like sparks in a huge fire, without weight or poise, amidst loud cries and horrible groans of pain and despair which caused us to shudder and tremble with fear. The demons were distinguished by the horrible and repellent forms of terrible unknown animals. The souls of the damned were in human form but like embers of fire black yet transparent. This scene lasted an instant and we must thank Our Heavenly Mother Who had prepared us beforehand by promising to take us to Heaven with Her. Otherwise, I believe that we should have died of fear and terror. Then Our Lady spoke, and gave us the key to the whole Fatima Message: You have seen hell where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to My Immaculate Heart. This is the key: God Wants to Establish in the World Devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary God has a great goal: to save sinners from going to hell. To achieve this, God

wills to establish devotion to the Immaculate Heart in the whole world. To do that God has a plan. Our Lady tells us what that plan is. It is twofold. One is the Consecration of Russia, and the other is Communions of Reparation on the first Saturdays of the month. We will talk mostly in this conference about the Consecration of Russia, because it seems to be the most difficult to achieve. In fact, Our Lady said in Her Message of July 13: In the end, My Immaculate Heart will triumph; the Holy Father will consecrate Russia to Me, Russia will be converted and a period of peace given to mankind. But first of all, you notice She says in the end, that is, after some difficulty. It has now been 94 years this May 13 since Our Lady first appeared. And theres a time limit set to this. It seems to be 100 years, from what Our Lord said to us later on, as we will see. This time limit is fast approaching. We Are Obligated to Spread the Message We will talk about why now, the consecration must be

done, and why Russia. But let us finish the quick overview of the history of the appearances of Our Lady at Fatima for each one of us. On August 13, there were 15,000 people there. They came because of the 5,000 people who came in July. These 5,000 came because of the 50 people who came in June. That is, they told their friends and neighbors by word of mouth, despite the opposition from the government, despite the fear of the clergy in Portugal at the time, and despite the opposition also of the newspapers at that time. We see then that its important that we tell our friends and neighbors. The children told their parents, and they told their friends, and the word spread from there. 15,000 people came on August 13, 1917 but the children were kidnapped. The children were put in jail, they were threatened with death. Here are three children, who dont even know how to carry a gun or even to threaten anybody; three children who are put in jail as enemies of the state, who are a danger to

the state, or more exactly the Masonic state that Portugal had become. The Children Refused to Deny Our Lady They were put in jail and they were told to deny they were seeing Our Lady. They would not do that. They were told to deny that Our Lady gave them a secret. They would not do that. They then said, Well then, tell us the Secret, and they would not do that either. They needed the authorization of Our Lady to tell that. So since the three children would not cooperate, the Mayor of Ourem (the town nearby to Fatima) told them that he was going to boil them in oil until they were dead. Yet the children still would not change their story. They would not obey the wrong orders of the ruler. When Our Lady told them to do something, they did it. When She told them not to do something, they would not do that. Opposition to Fatima And so we see that the opposition to Fatima starts during the apparitions themselves, and the opposition is fierce. The government of

Portugal called out the army later on to stop the people from coming to see the Miracle of the Sun. But Our Lady is more powerful than armies, She converted the soldiers on the spot and let the people come to Fatima. We see that on August 13 the children were not there, although they had promised to be there. So, Our Lady came on August 19 and Our Lady again reiterated Her promise to work a great miracle on October 13, so that all might believe. She also said that many souls go to hell because they have no one to pray for them and make sacrifices for them. On August 13, Our Lady appeared. As She always did, She stood on top of a little cloud. The crowd saw the cloud come and stop over a holm oak tree and they saw the tree bend, as it would when someone was standing on it, but the people, of course, did not see Our Lady. After a minute or two of Our Lady waiting for the children, She left. And the people could see the cloud rise off the tree and the branches where the cloud had rested now sprang back to their regular position. Obviously, Our

Lady left. On September 13, there were 30,000 people who came. The people on September 13, as in July and August, saw great signs already. On September 13, there were no clouds, there was no eclipse, but the sun dimmed itself so darkly that the stars could be seen at noon. The people again saw not only the stars at noon as they also saw them on July 13, but also could see petals coming down from Heaven. They looked like rose petals, but when they went to touch them or catch them, they would disappear. And when they fell on the ground, they also disappeared. On October 13, 70,000 people came, despite the rain. It rained so much that they were in mud up to their ankles. They waited and at noon, sun time, around 1:30 legal time, the Blessed Virgin came. An Historical Miracle The Sun Danced When Lucia finished speaking with Our Lady, Lucia pointed to the sun and as she did so, the people looked up and the clouds parted and the people could see the sun

without hurting their eyes. It began to spin, it began to go round and round. It looked like a silver disc in the sky. At a certain point, as it spun around, it started giving off colors first red, then green, then blue so if a person had a white shirt on, it would turn red and green and blue as the sun spun around. After four minutes it stopped and then it started again more rapidly, with more beautiful colors. After four more minutes, it stopped again and then spun a third time, this time it began to not only spin but also plunge.

At first, it started to zigzag in the sky and finally it started to fall and fall and fall. The sun became very large in the sky; it became very hot and everyone thought the sun was going to fall on top of them. They thought it was the end of the world. The people fell on their knees in the mud to ask God for mercy, to ask God for forgiveness for their sins, to ask Our Ladys intercession. At a certain point, the sun stopped falling, then went back to its normal place in the sky. When people got up from their knees they realized that their clothes were dry; and where they had been kneeling in the mud, their

clothes were also clean. This happened so that all might believe. Even more important than this, of course, were the cures. People who could not walk and could not see were cured instantly at this time. And, above all, there were the conversions. Conversion of Sinners The Greatest Miracle As St. Augustine tells us, its a greater miracle for God to convert a sinner than for Him to create the world, because when God created the world, He created it out of nothing and, of course, nothing did not resist God. But when God converts a sinner, He converts them after they, first of all, resist His will. Thus, the conversion of a sinner is a greater miracle than the creation of the world. We have these miracles taking place on October 13, and continuing to take place in Fatima to testify to the truth that this Message comes from God; that it concerns our time, that it concerns world peace, that it concerns the salvation of souls. Gods Big Plan for Our Time We want to talk about this plan that God has revealed to

us at Fatima, the plan for establishing in the world devotion to the Immaculate Heart. Our Lady said on July 13 that She would come back to ask for the Communions of Reparation on the First Saturdays and She would also come back to ask for the Consecration of Russia. We will now talk about the Consecration of Russia. In 1929, on the 13th of June, Lucia was in her chapel at midnight; the chapel was completely dark except for the sanctuary lamp. Lucia was prostrate on the ground, saying the prayer that the Angel of Fatima taught them: Most Holy Trinity; Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, I adore Thee profoundly. I offer up to Thee the most precious Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of the same Son, Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for all the blasphemies, outrages, and indifferences by which He is offended. And I draw upon the infinite merits of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, that Thou might convert poor sinners. The Vision of the Holy Trinity As Lucia said this prayer

the whole chapel lit up; and when she looked up, she saw before her a vision of the Most Holy Trinity. In all the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin, and all the history of apparitions anywhere for 2000 years, I am not aware of the Most Holy Trinity appearing anywhere else. We have the theophany of Our Lord when He was baptized in the Jordan River and also on Mt. Tabor on the Transfiguration. But here is the first manifestation of the Trinity, visibly and audibly present, since that time, that Im aware of. Sister Lucia saw God the Father present as an older man, between the Father and the Son is the Holy Spirit symbolized as a dove, and God the Son is on the Cross. Underneath His right arm on the Cross is Our Lady of Fatima standing on a cloud on the altar. Blood comes from His wounds. From the wound in His side comes the Eucharist. A chalice catches the Blood that drips from His wounds and from the Host. Under His left arm on the Cross, you see the words Grace and Mercy, and these words are made with letThe Fatima Crusader 58

ters made out of water, so to speak, which flow over the altar. By This Means It is in this most solemn appearance that Our Lady speaks, although everything She says is because God wants Her to say it. She says explicitly: The moment has come in which God asks the Holy Father to make and to command all the Catholic bishops of the world to make the Consecration of Russia to My Immaculate Heart. God promises to save Russia by this means. Every word is important. Id like to dwell for a moment on the words by this means. St. Thomas, in his Sacramental Theology, tells us it is the words of the priest that are the means by which the sacrament takes place. Without the words being pronounced, the sacrament doesnt take place. Similarly, without the Pope and the bishops consecrating Russia, we cannot have either the saving of Russia or world peace. It is by this means. Just as I could not write my notes without a pen, without an instrument, we cannot have world peace except

through the means, through the instrument of the Pope and the bishops making the Consecration of Russia. We might think we know better, we might think we have a better idea, but thats immaterial. This is what God has dictated and decreed, and He will not change His mind. Sister Lucia and her confessor for the next seven years tried to get the Pope in this case, Pope Pius XI to consecrate Russia. The Pope, of course, was very polite, but basically he didnt do it. We Must Insist on the Consecration of Russia Lucia and her confessor, by 1935, were a little discouraged. Her confessor asked Lucia in a letter, Shall I continue to insist? Lucia answered, Yes. Should I change anything? No. In 1936, the confessor writes again and asks the same question. This time Lucia answers in a very different way: Should you insist? I dont know, but recently, I was talking with Our Lord and asked Him why He would not bring about world peace unless the Pope did this consecration. Jesus answered and said: Because I want My whole

Church to recognize that consecration as a triumph of the Immaculate Heart, so that later on My Church will place devotion to the Immaculate Heart beside devotion to My Sacred Heart. In other words, Our Lord is saying theres nothing to be done except to insist upon the consecration; it cant be done any other way. I want My whole Church to recognize that consecration as a triumph of the Immaculate Heart. And so you can propose the consecration of the world; you can propose this, you can propose that; but nothing will work except the Consecration of Russia. This is again confirmed by Our Lady speaking to Lucia in May of 1952. The Bishops Conference of Italy publicized this event in their book Il Pellegrinaggio della Meraviglie which was published in 1960, but the event took place in May of 1952. Our Lady told Lucia, Tell the Holy Father I am still awaiting the Consecration of Russia. Without that consecration, Russia cannot convert; without that consecration, the world cannot have peace.

How Much More Simple Could it Be? Its all or nothing. Either we have the Consecration of Russia or we have the annihilation of nations together with the enslavement of the world. Its as simple as that. I realize that Ive been studying and publishing and promoting this for 34 years. Some people new to Fatima or some who have not really read up on this subject say it cant be that simple, it cant be that easy. But it is that simple and it is that easy and nothing else will work. Why is it that God insists upon this? Let us take an example from Sacred Scripture (4 Kings 5:1-15), when Naaman, the Syrian General who had leprosy, was told that he could be cured if he went to Israel to ask the prophet to be cured. So, Naaman went to the King of Israel and asked for a cure. The King, thinking that Naaman was looking for a cause to provoke war, tore his garments and said, Am I God, that I can cure leprosy? The prophet, hearing of this incident, sent a message to the court of the king and said, Tell Naaman to come

to me and let Israel know that theres a prophet in the land. And Naaman went to the prophet but the prophet did not meet him. Instead, he sent a messenger to Naaman and said, If you want to be cured, go down to the river Jordan and bathe there seven times and youll be cured. Now Naaman became angry. He said, We have better rivers in Syria than this puny little Jordan, but his advisors, unlike the Popes advisors, were much smarter. Naamans counselors said to him, Had the prophet asked you to do something difficult, would you have done it? He said, Of course. Then Naamans advisors went on: Then why not just try this and see what happens? And so Naaman did what his counselors told him, as Sacred Scripture tells us in the Fourth Book of Kings, Chapter Five. After the seventh time bathing in the river, when he came out, his leprosy was gone and, as Scripture says, his skin was as smooth as that of a baby. show, first of all, it is not by our efforts, it is not by our merits, its only by the work of God that this can take place. And just as the relationship between bathing in a river and being cured of leprosy is next to nothing, so is the relationship between a simple prayer of five minutes by the Pope and 5,000 bishops causing worldwide peace. Compare this to the billions if not trillions of dollars that are spent on war. Just think of all the effort that people put into war. Afghanistan, for example,

costs 113 BILLION dollars a year. That represents the annual economy of most countries and the work effort of millions of people, just to have an army of 100,000 men in another country. Thats over 300 million dollars a day, or over one million dollars every 15 seconds. All of this will be stopped, as Scripture tells us that a time will come when all men will turn their swords into ploughshares. Isaias tells us that instruments of war will be turned into instruments of peace. That time will come only

after the Pope and the bishops obey the command to consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. With all the war, death, destruction and killing going on right now it does not look like it will ever happen. And yet, were told in Scripture that this will take place, that our instruments of war will be turned into instruments of peace, they will feed the people instead of killing them. The people and the high priests of our time are similar to the people at the time of Jesus Christ. They did not recognize the moment of history they were in, even though Daniel, the prophet, had told them that Christ would come in their time. So we have many prophets telling us this is a time of world change. I believe that this is a time predicted in Sacred Scripture and most of us do not recognize it. We are told by Isaias, they shall turn their swords into ploughshares and their spears into sickles: nations shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they be exercised any more to war. (Isaias 2:4) Every nation on earth has a school of warfare. This warfare

is taught from generation to generation. When Our Ladys promise of peace is fulfilled in the not distant future, it will also fulfill the promise of peace that was also made to mankind in the Old Testament. Then, also, all the nations will learn the art of war no more, because God also promised this through the Old Testament prophets (Isaias 2:4; Micheas 4:3). 14,400 Wars in 6,000 Years In 6,000 years of recorded history, we have had more than 14,400 wars. We are on the edge of a complete change in the course of history, once Our Ladys requests are heard and obeyed. At this time, we must, each of us, refuse to do nothing in the face of this tremendous intervention of God and Our Lady in the Fatima events. And, there are terrible consequences for us not obeying. The Message of Fatima touches each one of us, and our collective refusal to do what it takes to get the Consecration of Russia done has a price. Our Lady said: If My requests are granted, Russia will be converted and there will be peace. If My requests

are not granted, Russia will spread her errors throughout the world raising up wars and persecutions against the Church, the good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated. Thats not all of the terrible things that will happen if we, the Pope, the bishops, the priests and the lay people do not obey in time but it certainly should be enough for us to do all we can to obey and encourage all others, especially the Pope and the bishops, to obey very soon. Prayer and Penance Can Change History People like Cardinal Bertone somehow or other think that I dont believe that prayer and penance can change the course of history. If I didnt believe that, I wouldnt have spent 34 years of my life promoting the Message of Fatima. But its not enough to just do prayer and penance as we choose to do it, its the prayer and penance that God dictates we must do that will bring about this change in the course of history. This prayer is, of course, the Rosary, and in the last year we have, together with

others, prayed more than 22 million Rosaries for the Pope to do the Consecration of Russia. We had a campaign of Rosaries years ago of another 10 million Rosaries. And Im very glad to see that Bishop Fellay has called for another Crusade of another 12 million Rosaries within the next year between Easter of 2011 and Pentecost of 2012. We must pray the Rosary, but also we must do penance. The first penance, as Our Lord explained to Lucia in the 1940s, is to do our daily duty. Some people, such as many from the Blue Army, think that penance just involves taking care of what we do day to day in our own personal lives. That is true to a point but its more than that. We also have a duty to promote the FULL Fatima Message, just as at Fatima when those 50 people in June told their friends and neighbors, those 5,000 people in July told their friends and neighbors, and so forth, so that by their act of spreading the word, 70,000 people came in October. We Have to Spread the Word Because Fatima is Opposed Its opposed by the Secretary of State, not only

by Cardinal Bertone, but Cardinal Sodano before him, and Cardinal Casaroli before him, and so forth. The Vatican Secretary of State has made an agreement, a wrong agreement, to not criticize the errors of Russia. They made that deal in 1962. Yet Our Lady of Fatima came in 1917 to warn us against the errors of Russia. The result of that immoral VaticanMoscow Agreement is that today most priests dont know that Communism and other errors of Russia, now spread all around the world needs to be opposed and opposed openly. The error of legalized abortion was first openly promoted successfully in Russia. Today, that error is around the world. Karl Marx called for a graduated income tax, today most every country in the world has a graduated income tax. Most people dont recognize that as an error of Marx and of Communism. So, if you think what the newspapers tell you to think, that Communism is dead, dont believe it. The errors, by different titles, by different names, are still there. But this is nothing compared to whats about to hapThe Fatima Crusader 64

pen to us. The preparations for war are very real. If you look for them, you can see them. But if you look for the headlines to tell you theyre there, dont expect to find them. The newspapers dont want to tell you these things, but they are in the news, if you look closely. Both the United States and Russia are preparing for a major war, actually, right now. And some of the skirmishes are going on right now. Just to give you some facts and figures, 70,000 officers have recently been recruited by Russia. 70,000! How many soldiers will these officers be in charge of? Theyre also buying 600 new fighter planes and 100 new ships. Thats just the Russian side. Meanwhile, the American side is preparing for war as well. You have the doctrine of surrounding Russia in the proposal for the Project for the New American Century, PNAC in its shortest form, in which you see the United States, although under the guise of fighting terrorism or this or that, is putting up their military bases around Russia. The Russians were surprised by the Germans in World War II. Even though

they had planned to attack Germany, Germany did it first to them in the Second World War. But the Russians will not be taken by surprise this time. They are not asleep, but the people, the rest of us, are asleep. Gods Time Limit for Us Is Near You may or may not agree with this geopolitical analysis of events taking place right now. But, even if you dont agree, you must recognize that our time of decision is very short. Lets just look at the timetable that God has given us. In 1931, Lucia was in Rianjo, a small city in northern Spain, where she went to rest. It was August. She went to pray in the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe for the conversion of Russia, Spain, Portugal and Europe. At other times He said to pray as follows: By Thy pure and Immaculate Conception, O Mary, obtain for me the conversion of Russia, Spain, Portugal, Europe and the whole world. Then Our Lord spoke about the Pope and the bishops and quite possibly about the priests. He said: Make it known to My ministers, given they follow the example of the King of France in delaying the execution of My command (to consecrate Russia), like him (like the King of France) they will follow him into misfortune. What is this reference to the King of France? The command, of course, is the command to consecrate Russia. The King of France, on the 17th of June 1689, was given a command by the Sacred Heart of Jesus to have France consecrated to the Sacred Heart; to have the Royal Court of France participate in a special ceremony consecrating France to the Sacred Heart, and to put the emblem of the Sacred Heart on the flag of France. not obey. That was the great Louis XIV, known as the Sun King; he had all the pomp and so forth, but his monarchy fizzled into nothing very much by the end of his reign. Nor did his successor, Louis XV, obey that command. One hundred years later to the day, on June 17, 1789, the Third Estate declared itself the National Assembly and excluded the King from making or having anything to do with legislation. The King, Louis XVI, was stripped of his power 100 years later to the day, and four years later his head was cut off in the guillotine. Our Lord is saying to make it known to His ministers the Pope, the Cardinals and the bishops that they will follow the King of France (the one who had his head cut off) into disgrace and chastisement. The King of France was executed as a criminal not that he was a criminal, but he was executed as if he were a criminal. That is what we see in the vision that the Vatican released to us in June 2000. We see the Pope being executed, not just being killed, but being executed by a band of soldiers, by a firing squad. This

is what awaits the Pope and the bishops; but not just them, priests as well, and religious and lay people. Were All in This Together Were all in this together, but its all because the Consecration of Russia has not been done in time. St. Alphonsus tells us that with God, everything is measured. He bases himself on a passage in the Book of Wisdom. All those things are measured as if by an eyedropper. We see that in the case of the King of France, 100 years to the day. And its Our Lord, Himself, Who draws our attention to that fact, when He says to Lucia, Make it known to My ministers ... like the King of France. He didnt say it precisely, but it seems Hes saying to us, like the King of France had 100 years, so the Pope has 100 years. We are now at the 94th year. May 13, 2011 is the 94th anniversary of Our Ladys first appearance at Fatima. There is short time left. It would have been easier to do the Consecration of Russia earlier but, as time goes on, it becomes more and more difficult to do it.

Some people think its too difficult to do. No! It is still possible to do it. How it can be done today is shown in the book, Russian Sunrise. But, no doubt, theres some impediment. The Pope Does NOT Need Permission to Consecrate Russia Last year, one of our speakers, Catherine Pearson, told us that there are six possible reasons why the Pope doesnt do the Consecration of Russia. First of all, we should not think the Pope doesnt know about it, because he does. Not only does he know about it, but he wants to do it as well. I have this on the word of a Vatican diplomat, an Archbishop, who, himself, went to Russia on a commission from Pope Benedict. This Archbishop told me that the Pope sent a message to the Patriarch of Moscow, asking permission to do the consecration, and would he mind. Apparently, the Patriarch has never had it properly explained to him. Its not an insult to the Russians, its not a curse, but rather, its a blessing. However, the Russian Orthodox Patriarch took this somewhat as an insult and

said he would mind. Now the Pope doesnt need to ask the permission of the Patriarch before he does this Consecration. But since the Pope asked this question, it needed someone to explain to the Patriarch that its not an insult to the Russian people, but in fact, its a particular grace. Its a grace I would wish for my country. Its a grace that anybody who loves their own country would want. But its Gods choice, its Our Ladys choice. After David Was Consecrated He Was Victorious We should look at the history of David in the Old Testament. David was one of eight brothers, and the prophet came to Davids father and said, I must consecrate one of your sons as King. And so Davids father, Jesse, brought his first seven sons and the prophet met the first one, and he then said, No, not him. Second one, No. Third, fourth, fifth, all of them, No. The prophet then said, Dont you have any more sons? Jesse said, Yes, I have one more, hes back home taking care of the sheep. So he

said, Bring him to me. The prophet recognized David as the one to be consecrated. So David was consecrated and after that he went back to taking care of the sheep. Nothing seemed to have changed. But after David had been consecrated by Gods anointed prophet, some days later the sheep were attacked by a bear and David responded to the attack of the bear by killing him barehanded with his knife. On another occasion, Davids lamb was attacked by a lion and David also killed the lion barehanded. Some little time later, the giant, Goliath, stood on the mountainside for 40 days, challenging the fighting men of Israel to fight him. If one of King Sauls men could fight against Goliath and kill him, then the Philistines would be their slaves; but if Goliath were to kill the designated warrior, then they would be the slaves of the Philistines. For 40 days, the giant said, Do you not have the living God on your side? Then, why are you afraid? Goliath blasphemed against God and dared the men of Israel to defend Gods honor. one but David. After some days, after leaving time for the other fighting men, for the big and the powerful to take up the challenge, none would do it. And so David came forward and said, I will do this. David was only 18 years old. He was not very strong, he was not very big, and King Saul said: You cant do this, youre not strong. You dont have experience as a fighting man and hes too big for you, too strong. David said: Your servant has killed a bear by himself and killed a lion. I will be able to kill this man, Goliath, as well. And so it was that God chose David and he consecrated him, and once he was consecrated, he had this special protection, he had this special power that he didnt have before. That is why he could kill the lion and kill the bear by himself. That is why he also was victorious against Goliath and was able to kill him in personal combat. ful that even Popes dare not speak against it. We have the word of Pope Pius XI saying this. You can find it in his encyclical written in 1930. Today, Popes wont even say theyre afraid to speak, they just dont speak about it. In 1930, Pope Pius XI took on Mussolini publicly by publishing an encyclical, Non abbiamo bisogno, and he went on to publish yet another encyclical against Hitler. He didnt mind taking on what the world considers the powerful of the world, but those that were even more powerful people than them, he said he hardly dared to speak against them. And today, its those same very powerful people you may know their names, but you dont know their power its these same people and their threats held over the head of the Pope to not do the consecration. As Catherine Pearson pointed out, there are only six possible reasons for the Pope not doing the Consecration of Russia, but the first five she effectually eliminates. seriously threatened. Its not a personal threat, its not blackmail, its much worse than that. Its the kind of threat that Josyp Terelya spoke about. Josyp Terelya was a prisoner of conscience from 1963 to 1987 in the Soviet Gulag. The order had come down to have him killed and so the colonel from the KGB who knew of this order didnt mind telling Josyp something that was a secret. Now, Terelya lived to tell the story. Chernobyl No Accident The great accident of Chernobyl took place in 1986. In 1987, before his release, this KGB colonel told him: Chernobyl was not an accident, it was set off deliberately. In fact, we have all our reactors in the populated areas in order to keep the people under control. If they dont obey, we always have these reactors to set off anytime we need to. This is a KGB colonel telling this to Terelya. Terelya writes about it in his book Witness and he certainly spoke about it at one of our conferences. Its this kind of threat that was held over John Paul II, the fear that Poland would be blown up by these nuclear reactors.

I dont know the exact nature of the threat hanging over the head of Pope Benedict XVI, but the kind, the degree of the threat thats held over him is like the threat Josyp Terelya spoke about. The Power of Our Lady Yet, we need not concern ourselves with this threat, as Coralie Graham pointed out in our Conference opening. Our Lady is much more powerful than all these enemies of God. Padre Pio, who was very devoted to Our Lady and the Rosary, promised the town of San Giovanni Rotondo that during the Second World War there would be no military acts of violence, there would be no bombing of their town. Now, the Americans had taken over the air base outside the city of Foggia (about 25 miles away from Padre Pios city) which they used to fly missions over Yugoslavia. One day, returning from 16 hours of flying, an American pilot had one bomb left on board and he had very little fuel left, just enough to get back to base. He had strict orders, under threat of courtmartial if not followed, that he had to get rid of all his

bombs before he landed. So as far as he was concerned, he had no choice but to get rid of the last bomb. He was in clouds, he didnt know what was beneath him, but he knew he had to follow orders and release the bomb before landing. St. Padre Pio Prevents His City from Being Bombed The pilot began the procedure to drop the bomb but then he saw a man in the clouds coming towards him. The man spoke saying: Dont do it! The pilot hesitated and was very impressed. Nevertheless, orders were orders and he didnt want to endanger the landing field, nor be courtmartialed. Nor did he know there was a town under him. He thought it was a field or the water. So he pulled the lever to drop the bomb, but it jammed. It didnt work. So he had no choice but to land with the bomb on board. The Base Commander was glad to see he got back safely, but became angry when he saw that the pilot had a bomb left on board. He then threatened him with court-martial for breaking orders and endangering the base.

The pilot, in his own defense, said: I saw this man in the clouds telling me not to do it. The Base Commander responded: Youve had too many hours of flying, you need a rest, and decided not to court-martial him. When the pilot got back to the barracks, he went to see his friend, Alphonse DArtega (a man I know), who lived in Rome here, in Parioli, for many years. At that time, he was working on the base but he wasnt a flier. His pilot friend told him what happened, and they were talking about this in the mess hall. A young Italian boy, about 10 years old, was helping to serve the tables there. He understood English and he said, Oh, that sounds like Padre Pio. The pilot and his friend said: Whos he? The boy responded: Oh, he just lives up the hill there about 40 kilometers away and he says Mass every morning at 5:00 oclock. So DArtega asked his friend the pilot, Do you want to go up and see him? He said, Sure. So he said, Ill get a jeep. So the next morning they went up there and, as DArtega described this to me, the old church of Padre Pios

was very small. They were the last two to get in and they had their backs to the wall. The pilot was a Protestant, hed never been in a Catholic church before. DArtega was looking around and the pilot was looking around and different people would come out of the sacristy, preparing the altar. There was nothing noteworthy. Then, as DArtega was distracted looking at something, waiting for the Mass to start, he gets a poke in the ribs from his pilot friend. He said: There he is, theres the man I saw in the clouds. He positively identified, of course, St. Padre Pio. So Padre Pio promised the people of San Giovanni that they would never be attacked during the war, and he kept his promise, even to bilocating in the clouds and stopping pilots from dropping bombs on their city. Certainly, Our Ladys power is greater than that of Padre Pios. Trust in Our Lady Our Lady can stop whatever threats are held over the head of the Pope; She can stop any danger from impacting the Church or the people by the power of God. to pray more for the Holy Father. Our Lord, Himself, spoke in Rianjo of what would happen to the Pope, that he would follow the King into misfortune if he continued to refuse to obey the command to consecrate Russia in the manner specified. I dont know whether Lucia asked Jesus what are we to do in the light of the Popes refusal. But the last remark Our Lord said to her was, It is never too late to have recourse to Jesus and Mary. It is never too late for us to pray, it is never too late to ask Our Lady and Our Lord to intervene.

Lucia has told us that there is no problem in the world, either national or international, either physical or moral, that cannot be solved by the Rosary. There is no problem, even the problem of the Pope and the bishops not doing the consecration, even that problem can be resolved. We just have to pray, and as Padre Pio says, get others to pray the Rosary. Let us pray the Rosary for the intention that the Holy Father does the consecration. lect 12 million Rosaries in one year, surely the bishops and the priests here can do that and more by getting their dioceses and their friends to promote the Rosary, and pray the Rosary for this intention. So let us pray many Rosaries for the Holy Father. It is never too late to have recourse to Jesus and Mary. WHY Russia? People might wonder why Russia, why consecrate Russia? Of course, its sufficient to say that God chose it and thats enough. Russia is a very important nation; it straddles both Europe and Asia. Russia is also the most powerful nation in the world. Despite the propaganda that the United States is, Russia is much more powerful. In 1984, we published the facts that Russia was six times more powerful than the United States in a number of areas of nuclear warheads. God will use this power of Russia to oppose the mystery of iniquity that is threatening the Pope and threatening the Church. They will be given the opportunity to convert or they will be forced to conform to the will of God. Russia has suffered these many years

from the same power of the mystery of iniquity. (See Father Kramers book by that title and the extract of that book in this issue of The Fatima Crusader on page 29.) They understand it more intimately than most of us, yet they cannot convert without this Act of Consecration. As Lucia said: Many times the Blessed Virgin told myself, Jacinta and Francisco, that Russia is the instrument of chastisement chosen by Heaven to punish the whole world unless we obtain the conversion of that poor nation. So Russia has a pivotal role, either that of justice or of mercy. If we bring about the Consecration of Russia, Russia will be the instrument of mercy and will usher in an era of peace for all mankind. If we dont have the Consecration of Russia in time, Russia will be the instrument of chastisement for the whole world, for its sins. Do we deserve chastisement at this time? Well, its estimated that over one billion babies have been killed in abortion in the last 20 years. ONE BILLION! Thats oneseventh of the worlds population. We are told in Sacred Scripture that there are four

sins that cry to Heaven for vengeance. One of them is the killing of innocent persons. The innocent blood of these ONE BILLION babies cries to Heaven for vengeance. The World Has Gone in a Different Direction Than the One Indicated by Our Lady This is a tremendous sin but its not the only sin. As Pope John Paul II said when he went to Fatima, the world has gone in the opposite direction than the one indicated by Our Lady in 1917. He said that sin has institutionalized itself in our world. We get used to this because we, of course, live here, and after a while we cannot always be on the edge and always angry or uptight about something. So, after a while we say, Oh well, what else is new? And we forget how serious this is. The world is building up for itself a tremendous debt not only a financial debt, but above all, a moral debt and there will be a day it has to be paid. We can talk about the present-day apostasy. Pope John Paul II spoke, more than once, about the silent apostasy in Europe; but its not just in Europe, its all over the

world. We see this in the wars we have. Although it doesnt seem to directly affect us in the West so much, it has been estimated that over one million people have been killed in Afghanistan and Iraq, and thats just recently. How many of these were killed innocently that is, how many innocent people were killed? So why will the Consecration of Russia make a difference? Gods mercy is greater than any evil we can do. And God and His mercy wants to give this generation a great act of mercy. But He knows He cant give it to us, because He knows we might think that we deserve it. We dont deserve it. St. Augustine says God, in His great mercy and great love, wants to give us great gifts, but He cant give them to us because we will become proud. Well think that its due to our own efforts, our own merits, our own goodness, and this is not true. God Has a Dilemma How can He give us these great gifts of world peace and not give us a swelled head, thinking that we deserve it? So God, St. Augustine tells us, has found a way. And that

way is through the merits and intercession of the saints. God gives His special favors only through the intercession and the merits of the saints. And so if we would turn to the saints and ask for their intercession for things that we cannot get by our own prayers and our own merits, God will give these special graces, these special gifts, because of the merits and prayers of the saints who are Gods special friends. St. Alphonsus tells us that its a great thing for one man or one woman to have merited enough to save his own soul. But he says its an even greater thing for a person to have not only merit enough to save his own soul, but to save the souls of others around him. And that, he says, the canonized saints have done. God Wants Us All to Draw Upon the Prayers and Merits of Our Lady St. Alphonsus goes on to say that it is the greatest thing of all for a human person to be so holy as to have merited enough to save all the souls of all men and women of all time. And that only the Blessed Virgin Mary has done. And God wants us to recognize

and to know this. God wants us to turn to the Immaculate Heart for Her merits and Her intercession to save our souls. So God wants to establish in the world devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. That is why He has reserved the grace of world peace, the grace of the conversion of Russia and the conversion of the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. That is why He asks for this specific act of consecration, this specific act of dedicating, of setting aside for the service of the Blessed Virgin, the people and the country of Russia. When this is done, Our Lady will be able to take care of and take control of Her possession, first by converting Russia to God and His One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church, and then use it to evangelize the world. A Chosen Vessel St. Paul was the instrument of persecution against the first Christians but he was a chosen vessel. First, God knocked him off his high horse. Then He converted him and afterwards God had him consecrated as bishop, and after that he became the greatest of all the apostles. He

says in Scriptures, himself, that he converted more souls and he did more than the other apostles all together. Russia is like St. Paul. It is a chosen vessel to evangelize and convert the world, and that will happen once its consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. We do not know when it will happen, but we do know it will happen. The question before us is: Will we do what we can and what we must to bring about the Consecration of Russia before the annihilation of nations, before the installment of the enemies of God over all nations ruling us as if we were their slaves, ruling us in a way that would be most painful for us? In the message of Akita, were told that the living will envy the dead. After this chastisement of annihilation of nations, the living will envy the dead. Why is that? Because living conditions will be worse than you can possibly imagine under the reign of people working for the devil, who have prepared for us this war and the enslavement of all the survivors in their anti-God, antiChrist, anti-human worldwide prison camp. happen that way, unless we bring about the Consecration of Russia in time. The Message of Fatima Involves ALL of Us Let us then realize that involves all of us. Just as those simple people telling their friends and neighbors about the appearances of Our Lady of Fatima, each of us, in whatever walk of life, have this role to play to tell our friends and neighbors and deliver the message ourselves. You Have the Right! By all means, you have the right, as its defined by the Second Council of Lyons and the First Vatican Council. You have the right to petition the Pope. There are people who tell you not to petition the Pope. Those who say do not petition the Pope are dead wrong. Why are they wrong? The Pope, by taking on the job of being the Pope, takes on the job of receiving petitions from the Faithful who seek redress in things pertaining to ecclesiastical matters. It is defined, not once, but twice, in the Church. It is a solemn definition that each of us, as a baptized Catholic, has a right to have recourse to the Pope in this matter. You have

a right to ask the Pope to exercise his authority. The Pope can be asked to teach and to rule officially, with his full papal authority, that the Fatima Message is a true propehetic message from God and that part of the Fatima Message commanding the Pope and the bishops to consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary is a solemn command of God and is binding on the Pope under pain of mortal sin to obey. Or the Pope could be asked to make a binding resolution to the contrary if he is prepaed to be stopped by God for attempting to rule against the Fatima Message. There are those who say that the Pope cannot be commanded by the Message of Fatima. They are mistaken. I will deal with this in my next talk at this conference, about why the Pope must obey. He has a solemn obligation, he is bound solemnly before God. Its a serious matter to do the Consecration. This is not to judge the Pope, this is simply to state what the objective moral order is. We Must Pray for the Holy Father That is why we must pray

for the Holy Father. He has a heavy responsibility, as do the bishops, and let us pray for them as well. But at the same time, let us have clear ideas and clear understanding. As St. Thomas tells us, the first fruit of error is injustice. If we promote lies about Fatima in order to appear to be loyal or because we have some false notion of loyalty to the Pope, were not helping him, we are not helping the Church, were not helping the bishops. We are only sending them to their death sentences. Only ONE Way! We must tell the truth clearly and simply, and explain it so that people know that there is one way, and only one way out of the mess the Church is in, the mess the world is in. There is only one way to stop the senseless killing of millions of people in war, in abortion, in food riots, in financial terrorism (as Maurizio DOrlando will speak about later today at this Consecration Now! Conference), etc. and that one and only way is the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. God bless you. |
